This thread looks into whether or not giants did/do exist. It looks at the Bible, science, ancient civilizations and UFOs/ETs.

We’ve all heard the story of David and Goliath, but did giants once walk the Earth?

I personally do not believe that humans created the above monoliths. Call me what you will be you cannot and will not change my opinion/beliefs. So, if it wasn’t humans, then perhaps ETs, namely the Annunaki (Giants), had something to do with this.


The Bible
In the Bible, giants are first mentioned in Genesis 6:4, where the following is said:

"There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that".

The "also after that" is clearly represented as meaning "after the Flood" as the giants appear in scriptural narration after that event. They are described as very tall, up to 16 feet, having more fingers and toes than humans and associated with war. One is even described as a king and entire regional areas are recognized as their habitat. The word Nephilim is the plural Hebrew pronunciation of the word from which giants and giant were taken and does not appear in the Bible. The word Nephil comes from nphiyl, pronounced nef-eel' , a bully or tyrant.

Where the word 'Rephaim', 'Rapha' and, in some places, the word 'dead' is used in the verses presented here, they are all taken from the word rapha', pronounced raw-faw', meaning, in the sense of invigorating; a giant, lax, (figuratively) a ghost (as dead; in plural only): In the case of the word dead, it is generally accepted that this is referring to the spirits of the dead giants destroyed by the Flood. The Rephaim are believed to be a race of giants separate from the Nephilim of Genesis 6:4. In two verses the translators used the word 'Rephaim' where the word for the Nephilim appears and these verses are noted.

There is much evidence in history that clearly show giants have been with us far beyond ancient times. Here are the verses in the Bible that describe giants:

6:1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, 2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. 3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. 4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.



14:5 And in the fourteenth year came Chedorlaomer, and the kings that were with him, and smote the Rephaims in Ashteroth Karnaim, and the Zuzims in Ham, and the Emims in Shaveh Kiriathaim,

15:20 And the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Rephaims,

The Size of Animals Altered by the Atmosphere

Prior to the Great Flood, scientists believe the o-zone was greater in size than it is presently. Were the Sumerians civilized by ETs (Giants)?

UFOs

Voronezh, Russia. September, 1989.

The story of the Voronezh aliens recounts the adventures of several young children who claimed to have seen a three-eyed alien with a robot escort. The alien was said to be about nine foot tall. The craft, according to eye witness testimony, landed on the outskirts of the city. Additional Information
I can’t for the life of me remember where I heard this from, but apparently the Annunaki (giants) have pale skin, blonde hair and blue eyes. They also came to Earth, 400,000 years ago and set up a colony called “Eden”. Yes, the same Eden that is in the Bible.

Anyway, Adam was created from the sperm of an Annunaki and mixed it with the ovum of a primitive Humanoid.

But, its already been shown that people of ancient times could build things like this, albeit 50+ tons rocks has probably been carved out on the spot. And the fact that things like this are scattered around the globe, should prove that giants werent living in one place, but would have had to inhabit the entire world. And therefore we should have better findings from them, except for a few ancient carvings.

i saw a programme on this suubject on discovery/history channel not so long ago and i was very intrigued by the subject.

its not only bulidings that have been discovered but this programme also stated that skeletons have been unearthed that are up to 10 feet tall. these skeletons also had, in some cases, extra fingers, second rows of teeth amongst other abnormalities

baalbek is for me by far the most interesting site laying on the eurasia continent and even though my parents visited the place, i still know nothing but whats written in history books about it ... the mystery surrounds it more than anything i've been able encounter (architectural-wise) also it is the largest stone block construction found in the entire world... moreover my dad told me that the blocks are so precisely put close together that in between the stone blocks you cant even fit a swiss army knife... which is no more than 2mm thick (1/10th of an inch)

how could have they(whoever it is) done it without superior technology to what we know now...

Never mind a 2mm thick knife, you cant fit a piece of paper through or a blade of grass. It's incredible, hence why I don't believe humans made it... unless ofcourse they had assistance from other beings.

I'm glad you brough up the Sumerians. If you look into the Sumerian history you realise that most historians note information about the Sumerians but they don't mention their conflicst with giants. Many modern day historians don't like to mention the writings about the giants because there really is no hard facts to back up the information. They mention that the Sumerians were the first to develop a Monarchy, a form of writing using stone tablets, and that they created Mathematics. For one civilization to have done all this is really amazing. Also, as you said, they held information about astronomy. But historians don't dive into the information about their link with an ET race, because of their own credibility fear.

I personally believe the facts are their. Not only did the Sumerians note that there were Giants and an ET race but neighboring cultures claimed this as well.

If there were Giants though, where are they now? Can the flood explain it since the flood didn't wipe out all the giants was it just a nautrual event? I believe so. I think the flood was natural and it did wipe out many of the giants in the Mesopatamia area. Not only that, I think the flood formed the two great rivers, the Tigris and Euphrates and also formed the Black Sea.

Were they a creation that was planted here on Earth that was eventually wiped out by an ET race? Perhaps, as I have come to believe, the Gaints were a creation of one ET race and the humans were a creation of a different ET race that were at war with eachother for their creations on Earth. Am I positive, no, but that is what I think.

You have to realize too that back in the day of Christ and forward to the middle ages "giants" where normal humans that grew to be large.

Normal humans during this time period on earth were just at the height of 5'8"s. Out of the norm would be someone in that time period being 6ft+ to them they would seem to be "giants." To them giants were just that taller than the norm during that time period.

Look at our time line now. We have more people both men and women that are taller now then any time period combind.
I myself am 6ft 7inches tall and 250lbs. Would that make me a "giant" back then. HellZ yeah.



O and on the Heighstone deal: I have been there. The reason why those stone are the size they are and the higth is because it was in the infurstructure for the main temple support. If you didn't know there are multitudes of wooden posts that go around the circumfrance of the heighstone itself, imply that it was actually a temple made of outter edging of wood and inner support of stone.

After the war between the annunaki brothers and traitors, they left earth. Interesting idea, there is evidence of a nuclear explosion in india from thousands of years ago, and in their texts, they talk about a war between the gods. Coincidence?

Giants were not just people that grew beyond the norm. There were races of only Giants and they waged war just like humans would have. I remember in one scripture in the bible (not sure where exactly) Moses was walking with the Jews and they came across a race of Giants in the desert and would of had to go way out of the way to get around their encampment, instead they attacked the Giants and destroyed them. Thats just another example of their being races of Giants mentioned in the Bible... not to mention the other books the Hebrews wrote that were not published by the Catholic church about Giants (The book of Giants, Enoch) that talk more of Giants. And lets not forget David and Golliath. Also there are all the other ancient sources that claim there were people twice the size and strength of man. I have no doubt that Giants did indeed once walk with man, and these were Giants twice the size of man.

As for the Temple you mentioned, just because there was wood on the outside doesn't explain how they were able to place the stones at all. Also what about all of the other amazing structures. I personally believe Giants did once live there but I believe they were wiped out.

Very nicely written and researched piece, but I wont believe it until they find some 16 foot tall fossils. If we can reconstruct a T-Rex, why cant we find a partial giant skeleton?

I've heard reports of Giant bones being uncovered but I don't know if the links would be credible enough to convince. Yes, it is somthing thats undercover, not only by church has it been hidden but now it is hidden by state, and because of many reasons.

If the bones found went mainstream every reasercher and historian would be trying to explain their existance and evolution and they would come to the same conclusion I have. It would expose the existance of ET race involvment on our planet and would bring disorder into the religious system. Now wouldn't be the time for somthing like this to be exposed. In fact, many bones have been found besides dinosaur bones that have been hidden by scientists under the order of government intelligence.

I dont doubt that, but dont dinosaur bones refute most of the teachings of the church?

I read that a group of men went into some caves to get some Bat guano and they dug through ten foot of the stuff and discovered plenty of mummified giant skeletons, yet, scientists quickly hid them "in the closet", so to speak.

My guess is that the government has alot to do with it. They don't want us knowing how we were created so they just pull the wool over our eyes and tell us a beautiful story of how we just appeared.

There's also the theory that aliens are demons...
