I predict that ariel sharon is going to make a full recovery. I heard on the internet that he will fulfill Zecharya 11:15-17.

Look out if he makes a full recovery and has a blind eye and paralyzed arm.

I think I see what you're getting at.

REVELATION 13:3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed and all the world marvelled after the Beast.

Zech. 11:17, “Woe to the worthless shepherd who leaves the flock! A sword will be on his arm and on his right eye! His arm will be totally withered, and his right eye will be blind.”

So you're predicting that Sharon's stroke (a head wound) will cause him to be blind in one eye and have a crippled arm in reference to these two scriptures. You actually have a pretty good point ( if in fact he is blind/crippled), but if falls short on one count. Remember that this anti-Christ will be from the Roman empire.

Daniel 9:26-27 "...the People of the Prince that Shall Come would destroy the city and the sanctuary..."

Daniel's prophecy came true when the Romans came and destroyed Jerusalem and the Temple. Who performed this action? The Roman empire. So the "Prince that Shall Come", or the anti-Christ, should be seen coming from the Roman Empire, not Israel itself.

Except the Roman Empire comprised Israel back in the day. I don't know if I agree, as it has been my understanding that the Anti-Christ will not receive this wound until about half way through the apocalypse, it would be fatal, but he would come back to life and claim to be God.

This is a very interesting connection drawn, Scienceguy, and one warranting further research.

But what proof do yo have that the worthless shepherd is the antichrist? THis is more likely speculation on part of the church fathers.

No proof, just ties to NT and OT prophesy of the end times.

I will be the first to admit, though, that we probably have it wrong. The Jews 2000 years ago knew what the messiah would be like, without question, based on the prophesies. They knew He would be a military conqueror, He would make Israel great and give them the world, and other misconceptions. They still know this, 2000 years after they missed His coming. They're also taught (at least according to a Jewish priest (different than rabbi) I know and have talked to about this) not to read the prophesies themselves because they could misinterpret them and think that someone else, such as Jesus, is the Christ. Only after you're taught and taught how to interpret the scriptures are you to go and read Isaiah, Daniel, or Jeremiah.

The reason the worthless shepherd is tied to the Anti-Christ, though, is due to all of the similarities. Revelation 13:3, 13:12, and 13:14 talks about the beast whose head was fatally wounded but was healed. Revelation 13 also talks about a beast whose power causes people to follow him, thinking who can wage war against him.

Revelation 13:6-8:

6He opened his mouth to blaspheme God, and to slander his name and his dwelling place and those who live in heaven. 7He was given power to make war against the saints and to conquer them. And he was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation. 8All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast—all whose names have not been written in the book of life belonging to the Lamb that was slain from the creation of the world.

Sounds like a pretty worthless shepherd to me, leading people to damnation.

wow scienceguy, glad you brought this up, I was thinking along the same lines but dismissed the thought, now that you brought it back up.... I have to say I am watching very carefully how the recovery of Sharon progresses, though I hadn't considered him as prime candidate for the anti christ until just recently.

have you ever considered that all of these prophecy teachers are actually false prophets. and everything you read about the end times except for the bible is mere deception.

The entire point of these prophecy teachings is to get people jaded, so when datesetting fails more and more people chuck thier faith in God, so finally when the real deal comes around even the most devout are suprised.

Take for instance the famed mark of the beast. if government announced today that every man woman and child must have an rfid implant in thier arm. so many christians would hollar out"THIS IS THE MARK" we're not taking it. So how would you give this mark to the amish or eskimo's who don't use electronic commerce.


Today the level of sin far exeeds sodom and gomorrah.we still have a long road ahead of depravity. Even when homosexuality was accepted in greek and roman societies they never had marriage with gays. I think we have a long way to go. we will see things like
animal-human marriages, man-car marriages, public sex on street corners, public sex will become as accepted as eating in a restaurant, I think we will see real snuff films being shown in movie theaters, entire cities will become orgy fests. sky scrapers that look like giant phalluses or breasts.
tv shows that look like the "running man" mass proverty in america etc.

There are so many different prophesies, it is impossible to tell what is really going to happen. I believe that the bible predictions are not intended to be taken literally, much like the rest of bible. I believe the way that it was written was symbolic, for example the antichrist may not be a physical person, but something else. Maybe the antichrist is nuclear technology. Maybe it is humanity in general. It doesn't neccesarily mean it is an individual. After reading the bible many times over when I was a young un, I have learned that you cannot take the bible 100% literally. It was written symbolically to teach lessons and morals. But anyways, I suppose it could be possible for Sharon to be the antichrist, but I highly doubt that it will be a single individual.

About the 'mark of the beast' many christians say they would not take it. But it's already here and it's even popular to have! Read this;

Which is a great idea. Christians also thought that social security cards, debit cards, credit cards and bar codes were the mark of the beast.

I for one think that this NWO conspiracy crap is rubbish. yes there are secret societies, Big deal. So what if there is a shadow government. I do not think that they are out to enslave us, or make us go to hell. FOr the possibility of hundreds of years or government in all history there has not been one deathbed confession linking all of the evidence together?

When the end times begin the christians will be the persecutors and not the persecuted.

Comatose Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon is to undergo head surgery on Tuesday, hospital officials in Jerusalem say.
They said the operation was aimed at restoring part of his skull, removed during previous surgery after he suffered a massive stroke on 4 January.

He's been comatose, and out of commission for months. It this operation restores him to his previous self, It would be very intersting.

I just looked up Wiki and it appears he is still alive and in some kind of care...be interesting to see how this plays out.

This was interesting to see dug up; especially with what is going on with Olmert right now.

ive been thinking the same for a long time... sharon has a head wound, and the entire world has forgoten about him. if he is to make a recovery, ppl would be amazed that he came back from the dead.

also we have to remember that one of the anichrists abilities is to make war... israel has shown many times that it is capable and willing to do so... so it will be very interesting to see how this plays out in real life...

I guess I don't have anything to say in response as I agree with Super MOD, Rome is the seat of the Anti and the head (Pope) was mortally wounded EXACTLY as Daniel said he would and then reinstated as Daniel said and then the WHOLE WORLD (Recall Pope John Paul 2 and the many accolades to him Russia, Poland etc.) would marvel after the Beast...

The Pope was removed and all lands and power taken by Napoleon, Mussolini reinstated it right before WW2 and gave the papacy the city again as a private Nation...

Remember Daniel's other prophecies on the statue that Nebuchadnezzar saw in a dream the Gold, Silver, Bronze, Iron and the last was Iron and Clay and it smites the whole system when broken at the feet by a ROCK that no man cutteth with his hands. We know Iron was Roman Empire so the Iron and Clay is Rome and ??? I say it's America that is the clay mixed in but we shall see.

I don't know why this false teaching is so prevalent. I've studied the Bible in original languages for years. This popular teaching is wrong. We are told that Antichrist is a descendant of the Roman Empire, NOT that he is from Rome (Europe) or that he is European.

One of many false teachings that are rampant these days. The Biblical truth of the verses in question is that the Antichrist will have European descent (as in genetic material - like being white for example) from either one or both parents.

We are told that this person comes from the Romans, NOT that he is Roman. Two different things and it is of great significance. It is saying that it's a person that has white parents or a white parent. The pope and Rome being tied to this part of the Bible is pure speculation.
