This is a group that was inspired by the Bohemian Club's campout. Actually it was inspired by another group and
that group was inspired
directly by the BC.
It has less of a national appeal than the BC, but it's still made up of the ultra-wealthy and landed elite from the rockies region.
Apparently they even have a website
roundupriders.com...
What the group does is it has a get together, everyone dresses up like cowboys, and they go out on a long horseback ride over the course of a number
of days, so it involves a lot of campouts along the way. They hold events that have western themes in relation to this too, like rodeos, etc.
Here are the members on a ride from one of the years
The group promotes tourism for its region, but it also functions as another one of these social cohesion promoting units for the wealthy and elite in
america.
Anyone heard of them or have any other information on them?
