The moon is leaving us at about an inch a year. There is a reflector on the surface of the moon, that scientists shoot a lazer at. Then lazer bounces
off, and tells us the distance.
The moon has NO physical effect on humans. Its psycological effects are a different story however. Although it is, percentage-wise, the largest moon
compared to the planet it is orbiting (I think), it DOES NOT have enough gravitational pull to induce an earthquake. The moon, although large, is only
1/81 the size of earth.
