Murcielago, I'm positive UAVs have been around much longer than that, we just need to do some research.

yeah, after the last guy posted it made me think more...so (w/out doing research) I would guess the V-1 Buzz Bomb.

Actually, many WWII BOMBERS were converted to remote control bombs, DURING WWII. I think it was one of the Kennedy's that got killed in one. They took off manned, set the remote control, and jumped out. His exploded before he could jump.
