You probrably heard about the Cash-Landum incident. It happened in the woods near me near Houston Texas around christmas time 1980.

I'm pretty familiar with the story on hwo the 3 saw a bright diamond shaped object in the sky just above the roadway. Trees and conrete were melted as well as their car. They saw military helicopters and had alot of medicla problems from wha tlooked to be radiation poisoning.

One note is thatVicky Landrum took her grandson inside a helicopter that landed in their town one day.She told the pilot about the incident and he said he knew about it. He sais they were in the area helping a UFO in trouble. After she said she'd been harmed he quickly escorted her out and has since denied the story. Bettey Cash and Vicky Landrum tried to sue the government but couldn't get any money.

The Chinook helicopters had United States Airforce written on them. FOr Hood was the only place with as many helicopters as they saw and they had no knowledge of it as neither did any other bases in Texas or Louisiana. The object was seen in Louisiana all the way to Huffam as it worked it's way west into Texas. A man in Daytown directly Eastof the site saw it. A man in Crosby saw the helicopters which is southeat of Huffman. Many others saw the object and helicopters. The last of a few linfering questions is where did they go and whee did they come from.

The victims said they saw the choppers ruch in from all directions..........about 24 of them. THey escorted the object East parrell along FM 1960 cause the 3 said they saw the object going along with them as they went back to Dayton. That means they went some point East of the site............but where? When the man in crosby saw them Iasume he saw them going to get the objects...............but that would be coming from the direction of the southeast.

I live in East Houston and on several occasions have seen black military helicopts hoovering over my house. They general go East or West. This is completly confusing cause there are no military bases in the Houston area
nor the direction they were going. The only posssible place is ellington Field but it's directly South of us. I once saw about 5-7 black helicopters flying in an arrow formation heading East.

1 mystery is was the object a general alien aircraft or a top secret experimental creation. Then the other one, where did ithey go?

As I recall did not one of them die from radiation exposure?

Alas, yes Bett Cash died 18 year to the day of the UFO encounter. She had a long history of sickness and cancer probrably.

One of the most intruguing UFO cases ever. To bad it doesnt get discussed much anymore. I was just reading about how the medical symptoms presented by the victims were more akin to direct burns and exposure to a chemical agent rather than any form of ionizing radiation due to the quickness of the onset of the symptoms.

This case defines the phrase "government coverup" and I really wish someone would break this story. I am surprised that no one involved has come forward to shine some light on this story.

I don't remember it per se, but I am aware of it. Its a fascinating subject because the traces left behind were undeniable.

The odd thing is that the radiation only affected the people. You would have expected the plant/wildlife in the region to have suffered, and yet there is no record of problems in the surrounding area (of which I am aware)

On a recent airing of "The Unexplained" on I believe A&E, they showed that alot of the short underbrush from the area that was exposed has never grown back.

They (govt?) also had a section of road replaced several times.

The Cash-Landrum Incident is one of the most interesting, perplexing, and troubling UFO encounters in the entire history of the phenomenon. There seems to be little doubt that those three people saw something very strange that night, and that the USAF/US government/black ops were involved to a significant degree.

Whether it was an alien spacecraft or some kind of secret experimental military device is difficult to determine, but the fact that it was being flown around over the open countryside in such a brazen and irresponsible manner (and the lack of concern shown for the three injured observers) speaks volumes about the "couldn't care less" attitude of its operators.

The Cash-Landrum Incident...from what I have heard...was a UFO having some sort of "reactor" issue (reactor somehow was opened during flight)......hence the radiation......I also remember that supposedly the UFO finally landed and all Ebe's aboard were dead.......The UFO confiscated......and the Gov (with other Ebe's help) shut down the reactor onboard the ship.

No...I cannot find the link to which I read all of this.....wish I could.....so with no proof.....take what I say with a grain of salt.

I would love to know where you read that stuff.

I honestly feel that there are a very small handful of cases that can be presented as having real proof. This is one of them. Not just eyewitnesses but concrete proof that something happened that night, and it left three people emotionally and physically scarred. This isnt the Phoenix lights or burning oil rigs in mexico, this isnt something that can be explained away with flares.

I've never heard any stories that it was an ET craft or that there were EBE's but I do know that something was up there, it hurt 3 innocent people, and the govt knows all about it.

I'm still shocked that this hasnt been picked up by a George Knapp or someone else closer to main stream media and put some real pressure on the powers that be to get some answers.

I agree...this case is the smoking gun of all cases IMO...100% truth.

The part of the incident that is such a shocker is that when Vickie Landrum spoke to a CH-47 pilot years later who told her the helicopters were there to help a UFO in trouble and then he clammed up when he realized who he was talking too.....link

Amazing story !!

I would prefer to see the UFO community concentrating on cases like this, rather than wasting time on the Roswell Incident.

Are you talking about what happened at 10 p.m. with the Phoenix Lights or all the reports and sightings at that time and prior?

I'm talking about all the "sightings" on video that have shown up on a million TV shows. Flares that were dropped behind the mountain range, not the triangle shaped object seen earlier.

Definately the most respectable UFO story I have heard of, would be better if it got as much attention as other UFO topics like Dulce and Roswell as SwatMedic stated earlier.
