I gotta say, if I was a soldier, I wouldn't support this administration either. I would do my job though. You don't have to approve of the war to
fight in it as a soldier. Understanding and agreement are not pre-requisites of compliance. If that were the case the entire military would grind to
a halt and the whole concept of a command structure would be rendered meaningless.
That's the reality of being a soldier. You fight, and die, on another man's say-so. It's not the place of soldiers to question the motivation
behind the decisions of their commanders. A soldier's job is to fight well, and follow orders, you don't have to know WHY you're pulling the
trigger, you just have to know HOW.
If you don't want to fight in unpopular wars, don't be a soldier. Most wars are unpopular. History has my back on this I think. I do believe
it's necessary to take the job seriously though, and that's precisely why I'm not a professional soldier. I would rather fight for my own ideals,
rather than those my nation's leaders pay lip-service to, but clearly ignore nonetheless.
