Visiting NYC: Your Favorite Places To Go?

I'm planning a trip to NYC in late Jan of 2006 and have never been there. What should I know about the city before going? Any advice?

What sights should I see, or restaraunts should I eat at? Please share your favorite places in the NYC area.

Famous Italian pastry place.

If you order pizza saying "a slice" means one slice of cheese pizza.

DO NOT spend more than 1 hr at times square there is so much more to NYC

Go to st Patricks Cathedral I dont care if your relgious or not its an amazing building.

They have something cool around every corrner there so yeah dive right in. Just walk around you will find something cool.

Oh and if you get the chance.... go to New Rochelle. Its rightoutside of NYC. There really isnt anything there.... its just

thats like... part of my family... although they have that mall thing New Roc City which is really quite neat.... I duno just have fun. but be safe.
