X-Box 360 Advertisment Prominently Features a Massive Nazi Swastika

I dont believe that the use of the swastika and The Leben Rune, is accidental, there definetly using them, microsoft put a lot of thought into there advertising,
For 3,000 years, the swastika meant life and good luck. But because of the Nazis, it has also taken on a meaning of death and hate.

Yes yes yes we all know that.

But - I think the Developers of X-Box 360 already KNEW that when the Majority people see the swastika today, they will associate it with the Nazi's and not with the Buddhist.

Well, its not as easy in Europe. The national boundaries of one country do not nessarily indicate the race boundaries. That was actually one of hitlers criticism's as well. I think you have mixed up what they ment about the "aryan". The Nazis didnt say that only blonde people should rule or something of that sort, they said that to develope the race of germans further it was imperative that they start breeding a pure stock of people, this pure stock was essentially the blonde haired blue eyed people. They wanted to breed such a stock which they felt was the most superior to replace the one that was presently exsisting. They didnt mean that to rule you had to have the "aryan" look. If you look at the top Nazis you will see that hardly one of two of them were blonde and most of them were dark haired people like hitler. Also they dont consider all blonde people to be superior only the german blondes that are supposed to be the original aryans! Hitler was infact quite the opposite of what was desireable, he was not blonde nor was he physically exceptional. That is the contridiction. Neither was Goring or the rest of the Nazi party leaders.
As for why they let Hitler rule if he was not the purest, it would most likely be because they valued personal ability even more than racial superiority.

Most Jews didnt even notice the symbol, even if they did they wouldnt care! Its not the symbol that sent them to the camps it is was the people behind the symbol. well you may be right aabout the second, I actually have one of the symbols mentioned in the thread in my school, but Im pretty sure the theta is just a 1 inside a 0. in computer speek one means on and zero off thus its appropriate for the power button

Yes agreed what i was implying is that symbols however are significant and can be used for purposes unknown to those not it the know

You all keep saying how it use to be a good luck symbol, etc. But they were on a different angle than the one the Nazis used, and that same angle is on the xbox 360 ad. The angle on the ad isn't that of the good luck swastikas, it's that of the nazi swastika.

Well if you put the controllers together I see the similarity, but I can not tell my son only have one control.

The graphics are outstanding.

Does anyone else notice that the Germans had the best looking uniforms, the best looking designed tanks, the first cool looking jets, and rockets etc... it's like they were provided with the best of the best. And why not take a symbol that ment good to someone else and use it as your own? It just might give you that extra push to get the job done. However, it was not so, since the rest of the world ganged up on them and from then on it was a no win fight for the Germans.

Now here comes Microsoft, trying to gain the same control and dominance on the rest of the world and use as many of the past symbols as the what was once popular. There is nothing new under the Sun, it's what you do with it that will make it stand out.

After the war, it is well know that a lot of the Nazi's were employed in the US. Mostly for their knowledge. Perhaps they ended up having families that had kids that were employed by Microsoft. And thus keeping the dream alive.

The swastika, eventhough it is ment to be a symbol of hate to those familiar with the war, it really doesn't mean that big a deal to me. For it is a sticker that was on every tank I built in my early days as a child.. model building. Again, I bought the tanks because they were the coolest looking at the time. Compare it with an american tank, and we have no contest. Panzer, Tiger.. now those were tanks!

And again, it's a symbol and nothing more. It's like the old addage... Sticks and Stones may break my bones... but a swatika will never hurt me!

Souljah, I think you see swastikas and race conspiracies everywhere. I honestly dont see a swatika in the formation.
