Seems like there are a lot of JFK conspiracies always flying around. I only have one question regarding the conspiracies. How come none of the other Kennedy's will say anything?

Think about it. If you are JFK and you are about to shut down the CIA or get rid of the Federal Reserve, why wouldn't you talk to your wife or closest family members about it. Maybe to at least bounce the ideas off of them.

I find it very hard to believe that none of his family members knows why he was assassinated. Why would his wife allow the lone gunner theory to not be questioned when clearly she knows he was shot from the front. Heck, she crawled towards the back rightafter in the direction of where Oswald was supposably shooting from.

I just am perplexed by the lack of commentary from the Kennedy's over anything. Apparently they keep getting killed somehow but they have had a long period of time to come out when they where alive and say something.

Heck, Teddy Kennedy has had a number of speaches where he could have thrown out some info on JFK.

But it never happens? Why? Is it possible that they really have no idea. That his bloodline has no clue at all?

I just find that too hard to believe that the general public is more interested in uncovering the truth than his own family. But that seems to be the case. They didn't even protest the Warren Commission.

I watch investigative clips like this and find it unbelievable that a team of unrelated researchers are more determined to uncover things than his own family.

I dont think there ever has been...Its called class. Sure, they may drink and party, they sure have had enough mysery in their lives along with money and power, but they keep quiet.
Lots of them are in some government office, they cant. Jaquelyn Kennedy never spoke out either.

Call it class ... call it threat of death if they speak...
I don't care... as long as Ted Kennedy shuts up I'm happy.
He's just a loud mouthed radical leftie these days.
All wind .. no substance. I'm just glad when he's NOT talking!

Flyers Fan,
Did you know i nearly ran Ted over at the Ocean Street dock?

I could have been a very famous ATS'r.....He had to run for his life...

Imagine the shock when i rolled the window down and (gulp) had to apologize.....

dg ... did you almost run him over because he was drunk and
tottering in the street? Or was it a freudian slip on your part
and you subconsciously wanted to help clean up the planet??

If you'd knocked him off the dock it would have been no big deal.
I understand he's quite the swimmer....

Jackie did.

Her last act before she left as an editor due to illness was to supervise the book CASE CLOSED which destroys all the conspiracy nonsense.

For the most part, the entire Kennedy family is very private - especially when it comes to something like this.

I admire their legacy of service as well as their unwillingness to engage in these kinds of debates.

Just imagine for a moment the impact it could have on their relationships with each other were one or more to aggressively pursue this issue. There are bound to be those within the family who could be professionally hurt by such an attempt - it would be your proverbial sh*t show within the entire family. Each having to take sides. Nope - I would not go there either were I in their shoes.

And I admire Ted Kennedy for his years of service to this country. What have you done lately?

I served 5 years in the US Army.
I get educated on the issues and vote in every election.
So does my husband.
My entire family, and I, are law abiding citizens.
We pay our taxes, and we don't cheat on them either.
We have never caused tax payers to have to shoulder
the burden of our 'upkeep' while in jail.

I can tell you what we DON'T do as well ...

We don't live off welfare for years at a time.
We don't evade paying taxes.
We don't drive cars off bridges and leave people in them to drown.
We don't go on and on about the need for alternative energy sources
and then put up a stink when wind mills are presented for off shore use.

There is more .. but I think that answers your question well enough.

Okay, we've wandered off the subject.

Let's please get back to talking about the Kennedys and their love of privacy.

Well said FlyersFan.

I voted you way above also.

As far as the Kennedy's desire for privacy, it's understandable.
And maybe for Ted, it's completely understandable.

Any famous person gets tired of it after a while and I'll bet a few would like to return to the simple life that anonymity offers.

I would venture to guess as well, that Ted knows a lot of things and I wouldn't be surprised to see a manuscript pulled out of his safe and or personal papers after his death.

I believe it will be more than interesting reading if such a thing comes to pass.

I'd think that the lack of talk about it from the family is a good indication that the conspiracy theories are way off.

Or, nygdan, the lack of talk from the Kennedy's could be seen as validation that there really is a conspiracy and Those Who Rule are behind it. The remaining Kennedy's have learned to remain quiet and not rock the boat too much. They are not a threat.

Teddy,...hic-up is still trying to get his backstroke down. I also believe he was given the message that if he were to ever run for Prez. where he would be going, the booze down there would be hot.
John and Bobby were the best and cut down way before their time. IMHO, they were taken out because they knew too much about something and the Industrial Military Complex saw them in their way and perhaps Bobby had his sights set on them also.

You are right. Some are quiet ... some aren't.

Caroline has completely left the world of politics and the limelight.
She is still married to her husband - the first and only husband she
has ever had. They have three kids (I think it's three) and they
live quietly and 'normally'. The only time she really comes out is
if some honor is being paid at the Kennedy Center or something.

The others ... well, one was running in New Jersey, one in Maryland
and so on. One of those just LOST, which is unheard of for a
Kennedy.

Very off topic...sorry. I went to the 40th year anniversary of the assassination at St. Patrick's here in DC. We arrived a little late and the only seats available were accross from Teddy and family. Ted must have noticed us looking at him because he waived at us. It was a great memorial service.

On topic.....the family could have spoken at that event but didn't. They didn't even have anyone (as far as I can remember) from the family speak at the memorial.
