Just wondering why there is no way for the author of a new tag is not able to edit their new tag once it is submittted. I just added a new tag here
www.abovetopsecret.com...

note the extra comma. Now I can not correct my error

Can we perhaps establish a procedure to correct typos made by members?

a nother pesky question from the " peanut gallery " - spelling conventions ?

the obvious examples are

armour OR armor ????????????

and other such - i obviously use the former - but merkins insist that the latter is correct

will it make a difference ???

Here's the way I think about it...

Look at the tag list. Is there a word in there that you would use as a keyword to find the thread? If not then add it.

For example, if someone has entered color but you would use colour, then by all means add it to the list. If a word is not spelled correctly then it will likely never be relevant in a search. No harm done (I think).

Tagging will become what members make of it.

I agree, however that does not address my original question as to why we cannot edit our own tags if we make a typing error as I did.
