Pink Haze in Southern Sky of Orange County, CA

I awoke from a nap in my car around 1:45 today. I was napping in Costa Mesa in Orange County. As I awoke, I looked to the south (toward the ocean and Newport Beach) and noticed that the haze was a bright pink! I mean bright, like the entire atmosphere by the ground was "colored" magenta.

I thought it might be my eyes adjusting, but when I looked north, the haze looked the normal whitish yellow. Is there anyone out the in ATS land that saw this unusual occurrance this afternoon at around 1:45 p.m. today? I wish I would have had my digital cam today, but it is at home.

The unusual color lasted about a minute or so, fading and moving to the northwest. The wind was blowing out of the northwest, so I thought that it would be moving the other way, but it didn't. I was so caught up in it that I didn't ask anyone around me if they saw it. Now I am asking all of you.....
