The Sock Puppet & The Straw Man........

I have posted on ATS in the past referring to the "Straw Adversary" and this would be in reference to the colloquilism of the "Boogie Man" as being the constant enemy you have to watch for but can never find. If anyone remembers growing up and their parents telling them to "be careful or the boogey man will get you..." this is the exact meaning behind the reference to a "Straw Adversary."

I think that sock puppets should be very carefully monitored.
Could be dangerous and stuff.........

Someone told me another definition of a sock puppet once.

Can't give a full description, but apparently they are used by single males.

Actually I was called a sock puppet once for supporting someone elses point of view, I wonder if the definition has broadened since the original description.

Yes, I dragged up the post from the past. I was looking through My saved and sent U2U's to find all of My old threads and posts in order to track them down.
