Why "i" think bigfoot is not real

so ok ur thinkin, bigfoot has to be real so many people have seen him and there are tons of photos, but here are some reasons i say no

1.The years keep going by and no hard evidence surfaces--no Bigfoot gets hit by a truck or car.
2.That excellent fossil record continues to be free of Bigfoot.
3.Why hasn't someone shot one yet.

1) You never hear about gorillas being hit by a truck either, but they do a fine job of existing. Maybe Sasquatch are instinctually averred from cars and roadways; the creature may well be very intelligent and know enough to keep to itself.

2) The Coelacanth dropped off the fossil record 65 million years ago, yet a fisherman caught one off the coast of Africa about 75 years ago. Besides, how many paleontologists are off digging through the forests of the Midwest right now, anyway?

3) That's a good question, but why would this disprove their existence?

Don't discount the existence of any cryptozoological entity based on the fact that you've never seen one; this fact does not mean that the thousands of people that have witnessed such beings are liars or attention-seekers.

I personally have no trouble believing that Bigfoot exists; there are thousands of undiscovered species hiding in the dark and deep places of our world, and Sasquatch is certainly one of the more biologically viable cryptids.

The question occurred to me of why hasn't there been on photoed on a game camera. I would assume the chances were good with the massive amount of cameras out there.

Again...maybe intellegence plays a part. Or noise for that matter. Who knows...I still don't discount it though.

There really aren't massive amounts of game cameras, I used to live in Alaska, and there are LOTS of square miles, which man has never even stepped in.

On the other hand, there are tons of bigfoot sightings in places like, maryland, which is pretty densely populated.

This is a very pointless thread......... We all have 1 of 2 opinions on big foot that are as follows:
1) Bigfoot is a cave-man/gorilla like creature that's out there
2) This is just a major hoax
What's it matter what you think? Besides, there are many hoaxes on this creature, yet, there are unidentified hair sample found, a shrill sound was heard by a team sent to find bigfoot, many enourmous footprints (whether some or all are fake is in dispute), several pictures and recordings have ben taken (most proven to be fake), quite a few reported sightings (not to mention that at least 80% aren't reported at all), etc. It's up to every individual to round up the evidence and decide on what they personaly think of this. It can't be ultimately proven or disproven that the sasquatch exists unless some dude comes out of the forest with a sasquatch behind him, in a cage. I personaly do believe that this beast exists but I can't say what it is (caveman? some type of gorilla? something else?). If you doubt that it exists, then so be it.

How many crows do you see getting hit by cars? Animals can learn to not die from human things.

It is a hoax (From what a man said claiming he was bigfoot) It was on the Discovery channel. and besides, the best proof is a shakey, blurry, uncolored video.

Nouvel....I suggest you read up on some things before posting that "some guy said he was the bigfoot". Not trying to flame you but read up on some stuff. "That guy" has been debunked and redebunked and bunked and...you get my point......ATS search engine is a great place to start.

Actually I think , due to the internet, many more sighting s are being reported, maybe lessthan 80%.

If you believe in bigfoot or not, do not discount the idea that there are no new species out there we have not yet discovered.

When was the last time we discovered anything new?

Oh yeah, a few weeks ago.......

I am still on the fence with bigfoot. I want to beleive.....

Nouvelle, I must agree with MacMerdin. ATSers are an informed bunch. The fact that the mere mention of "some guy said he was the bigfoot" reminded everyone of the Patterson case. And need I say that the Patterson film, which is considered the best Bigfoot footage by many, is far from a "shakey, blurry, uncolored video." Ok, shaky maybe, but show bigfoot footage that isn't...

There's more than enough evidence make me believe Bigfoot is real. Well at least compared to other Mythological creatures such as Mothman, Vampires, etc.

Well, from the pictures and videos i've seen. The many articals i've read, the shows on it i've seen. i'm just saying; most of the videos/pictures ARE blurry, or not of the BEST quaility.
I'm not saying I don't believe. (I just want 'clear' proof) I just want to see a unshakey and unblurry video. Or a clear picture.
If you don't think that footage is not up to par in quaility. I'd like to borrow your eyes.

Thanks gem.....finally someone agrees with me.....haha. Anyway...back to bigfoot....why do so many people think the patterson film has been debunked? Look at the recreation that BBC did......they could not recreate anything...let alone the costume, the swing of the arms, the fact that the muscles could be seen clearly through the "gorilla suite".....need I say more? Oh...I do need to say more...because BBC did this 20+ years later and still couldn't get it right...hmmm.....yeah "some guy in a gorilla suit"?

my basic observation is " why didnt the first european settlers to the americas discover bigfoot in his pasoroal idyll and report on it / shoot the crap out of him ? "

US pioneers shot just about everyting in sight

in australasia - they killed off the thylacine , dodo etc etc

i admit is almost an " absence of evidence " aregument

but there seems a dearth of ` sightings ` from the first eutopeans to venture to the new worlds

I agree..there is no "clear" video footage. Does that mean he doesn't exist? There's no video footage of the new mammal that got caught in footage last week....does that mean it doesn't exist either. From what I've heard...sasquatch is VERY fast......can you get clear footage of an F-16 flying over head? Does that mean that an F-16 doesn't exist? Yeah...I know...you're going to say that an F-16 would travel at such a faster rate than sassy....but why not keep an open mind?

True. And not to forget giant squids. There was no footage whatsoever of them until about a month (or two?) ago. And the little footage that we do have now, is still not something you could give a best video production award for!

True. And a good point! But also keep in mind that Native Americans did (and still do) have legends and stories about the big-footed creature. I.e. there probably wasn't many Bigfoot (more than one Bigfoot = Bigfeet? ) to begin with. The Native Americans/Indians were there long before the settlers and they knew of Bigfoot. Luckily the settlers didn't get to him otherwise he/they would be (even more) extinct!

Just a thought....maybe we will start to see more strange things appearing in Alaska now that HARRP is on full power. I think that if there is a Big Foot, it will be affected somehow by HARRP. Could make it crazy

I DO have a open mind. And thats all besides the point, we know the plane exsists, people have seen it, there are pictures and CLEAR CRISP footage of it. (Not saying poeople haven't seen bigfoot.) Kind of ridiculous to compare a inanimate object to a animal.

And for the giant squid, pretty amazing they find it, when the earth in about 70% water, and avegrage depth of the ocean is several thousand feet. EVEN THOUGH, 98% is salt water. So was it a salt water squid of fresh water? BUT, they can't find bigfoot in less than 30% of land. And for bigfoot to exsist, there would have to be groups of atleast 30-40 to sustain their exsistance, and continue to breed new life.

I know i'm going to get guff about this post. But I do believe there is some kind of erect gorilla type creature out there.
