Is it the spirit of Christmas?

For a war game scenario, it's surprising how nice all sides are to each other!!! Diplomacy, letting countries walk all over you, sink your ships, shoot down your planes, kidnap your citzens and all sorts of carry on.

Despite the best efforts of the judges, war refuses to break out!!

Maybe there is hope for us after all?

PRC is tabling motions of censure in the UN the security coiuncil and the ICC

As a permanent member of the UN Security Council the US will Veto any motion aimed at the United States.

US assets in china - nike factories etc - are being sized - and natinalised [ to a value of 350% of the sunck vessels , plus $1 million / crewman lost ]

HMS Southampton , has permission to approach shanghia - in order to embark forign nationals and the US embassy staff

Regards : The status of the UK embassy staff , and UK nationals resident in china ,

The credentials of all UK diplomatic staff remain valid , There is no threat to UK or other none USA nationals

The PRC wishes to maintain good relations with UK despite the crimninality displayed by USA

Diplomatic relations PRC vis. USA

PRC has NOT severed diplomatic relations with USA , USA is at liberty to forward the credentials of a new ambassador and his staff for “ review “ . Of course , this will take time , and time is money

The Swiss ambassador to Beijing has offered to intercede on behalf of USA passport holders in PRC and

The PRC government welcomes this ininative – and will make the nessccary accommodations to permit this

The PRC is not withdrawing her diplomats from Washington , yet – unless her diplomatic staff are declared persona non grata .

Lastly , In an unprecedented move – bejing has announced that PRC is to send an ambassadior to tiapei , to “ pave the way for normalization of relations “

HMS Southampton will move in and evacuate the US embassy as a show of faith and requests that the chinese inform to the UK of the problems between the US and the PRC. The UK embassy will not be evacuated fully but some non important staff will be evactuated incase the PRC citizens feel threatened them.

The UK apologises if it seemed agresive in its negotiations but we were worrried about the hieghtened tensions between our two allies.

This will take 6 hours.

Has this thread died?

I know the Taiwan straits scenario is in full swing and going well, but do all the players concerned wish to continue this scenario?

If I don't get a yay or a nay within 48hrs I will assume that this scenario has been disregarded.

In the order of things, the Russians are up, followed by the US. There is a wealth of things set up in the background and with the shooting already starting in the Taiwan Straits, hopefully things will get interesting soon.

Thought I'd put this seafloor relief map here. Don't forget the waters where you are all operating are very shallow for a navy. US SSN's will be at a disadvantage here as sonar conditions are difficult, however Chinese and NK deisel-electrics will be at an advantage as they can mask themselves much better.

LARGER MAP : www.ngdc.noaa.gov...

BTW. INteresting scenario you hvae for this wargame - If I didn't know better I'd swear it was mine

The US would like to remind the Russian Federation that they will be entering US Air Space, as such, they should reconsider their plan. The 12th FS Squadron station and Elmendorf AFB, Alaska is on standby awaiting the Russian response.

Well right up in the right hand corner of that map, there is a lot of under water activity off the coast. Anyone with subs in that region should be prepared for something nasty to happen?

The 'guests of the PRC' from the Princess Spam incident have all been returned home safe and sound.

News channels comment on very suspicious activity in Japan by small groups of what appear to be Chinese criminal gangs.

CHINA you are up next.

Ok kids, I know it's been awhile, but we're going to have a MAJOR announcement from the Pentagon later today. Big events have been taking place in the Sea of Japan, AND near Taiwan. There will be a Significant announcement later today on CNN about both fronts of the war.

Special Report From The Pentagon

Earlier today, several massive attacks were launched from the Chinese maniland against US and British shipping interests. Both US Carrier battlegroups came under massive attack, with major damage suffered by the USS Kittyhawk, along with the loss of several ships in her group. At this point, we are not sure if we will be able to get her back to port, or if she will be lost where she is.

The second attack against the USS Ronald Regan battlegroup was less successful. Several Chinese submarines were detected before the attack was launched, and the group was on high alert. A massive antisubmarine effort was launched immediately, with the loss of many Chinese submarines. We're still looking at overall numbers. Several escorts with the carrier were sunk, and the carrier suffered some damage, but at this time it doesn't appear to be major.

We are not releasing numbers, or ships lost at this time. We are still looking at numbers, and notifying families. Expect a complete list within 72 hours.

Shortly before these attacks were launched, a third attack took place against the British task force in the area. We don't have complete details of losses at this time, but we have been in contact with the British government, and it appears that at least a quarter of the task force was lost, with more damage, however these numbers are not firm at this time.

This has been a special report from the Pentagon.

I will be posting the results of the battles in this thread later today. I don't feel like sending out four or five U2Us all saying the same thing, so I'll break it down by country here in the thread.

US Aircraft losses -

You have effectively lost 1/2 of the Kitty Hawk air wing.
You have lost 1/3rd of the Reagan air wing. What is left of the KH wing is now on the Reagan. You have a slightly oversized wing on the Reagan. Normal wing + 15 planes. The rest of them recovered at the nearest land base.

Erg! I typed this up earlier, and it didn't take. Take two!

For the sake of convenience, all war related announcements/posts/results will be posted here, no matter where the attack took place.

**BREAKING NEWS FROM THE PENTAGON**

Earlier today an attack was launched on the Peoples Republic of China Naval headquarters at Dalian using assets from the Royal Navy, and the United States Air Force. The attack began when two Royal Navy Trafalgar submarines approached the Chinese coast, and launched Tomahawk cruise missiles. These were followed closely by 4 USAF F-117 Nighthawks which attacked radar installations along the patch of the cruise missiles. After taking out the radar installations, 2 B-2 Spirit bombers launched from Whiteman AFB Missouri attacked the headquarters. Video and picture evidence shows the HQ was completely destroyed.
