It appears as though Saudi Arabias problems have been solved. If Saudi Arabia "Runs dry" *It won't* all they have to do is bring in the Russians to dig a deeper well for them. This would give Saudi Arabia another 50 or so years even if we buy into the Fossil Fuels myth.

So if we do indeed hit peak oil all we have to do is dig deeper wells.

You're right. To continue to use Oil we have to drill deeper, which is more costly. The oil companies only do this when the price of oil is higher.

I don't know what your big problem with the oil companies is anyway, since you think hemp will save us. You should be thanking the oil companies for running themselves out of business.

If the Oil industry is going to run out of business I hope it falls hard. That tends to happen when Empires reach their peak.

The Day of America as the number one super power in the world are quickly coming to an end. Globalization has changed the world so much.

As the other threads show modern technology can put an end to peak oil. The future is today.

Read the cases of Water/Gas mixtures. The Oil and Auto companies are dumbing down the technology. Even if we continue to use oil we can now make it so that it doesn't pollute.

Costly? look at the biggest coporations. the military industrial complex. Big Oil, Big Three. The list is endless. These corporations have all the money in the world. And when you look at the Federal Reserve and the International Banks you will see that money is no object. Yet they spend billions on war but when it comes to advancing mankind and technology all the sudden it becomes too costly.

Here is the cold hard truth. When the Torch was passed to Bush Jr. that torch was burning fairly brightly. Even though I'm no fan of Clinton he spent eight years trying to correct all the defict spending and fiscal irresponsibility of the governments before him.

When Clinton passed the economic engine on to Bush that engine was working perfect. In less time it took for Clinton to correct the problem the Neo-Cons have once again squandered all their money. The Oil corporations are making record gouged profits and the body count in Iraq is making the military industrial complex very very wealthy. Haliburton's stock has gone up 3000 percent in it's existence. All paid for in the blood of blind sacrifice.

Bush's economic policies are now threatening to once again collapse the north american economy. The US is taking out loans to pay off other loans.

I'll admit one thing. It is expensive to build a well 40 000 feet deep. It is not impossible in fact it should be done.

The well may be expensive for that depth but since it has been established by NASA scientists that Oil is not a fossil fuel, and it has also been established that Oil does not run out like the Oil Corporations will have us to believe. Eugene Island proves that fact.

So again. The price of the well is deep but for the Oil corporations that well is pure profit. You only need to dig a well once. After that it is pure profit for the oil companies. And as they continue to jack up the price that expensive 40 000 foot well that refills itself somehow through a natural process in the earth doesn't seem so expensive or impractical.

And on top of that the new generation of water carborators, and water/gas mix engines which the auto industry could build would effectively put an end to the peak oil scam.

As an added bonus the Oil corporations could invest in biodiesels, battery electric cars a, cars that run on vegtable oil. Even if only a handful of alternative fuel plants are created every effort could be made to put peak oil to an end.

Folks. Peak Oil is only what we make it. If the corporations wanted to they could do it in a relatively short time. The oil corporations have more money then God yet they don't invest any of that money into our future. These organizations are running the world; they claim to be fair and honest yet they don't invest in our future. Our childrens future. These things can no longer be ignored.

Deny Ignorance folks or keep watching your Fox news. Truth is prevailing throughout the nation and the world. The Neo-Cons have lost the iniative in the battle for truth.

Carborated engines that can get 200 MPG! Water/Gas mixture engines that are efficient and do not pollute. All of this has been suppressed by the Oil companies for roughly 100 years. Think about it for a second.

Are some people starting to get the message? Peak Oil is a hoax. The Oil corporations greed is taking us for a ride.

There are plenty of oil near the surface but the Russians do this for strategic reasons and are willing to invest for future security. The oil companies can drill to that depth with large profit margins with current oil prices but they wont because there is still plenty of oil mosy anywhere you want to look.

The oil companies are not the one's responsible for the high oil prices as they simply lack the power to manage such a big sham without official government backing. While controlling oil results in being able to hold foreign countries hostage government will back oil industry price fixing. We should be fighting our governments and not people who we expect to give us good returns on investment.

Putin just visited Saudi Arabia promising new partnership in many fields including nuclear energy. It is possible the deep wells were discussed.

Imagine $3k per barell of oil. That is the case at some wells. Mature wells offset the costs coming from new wells. Fact is, this is a big planet, and we have yet to drill in many regions. Much land is left to be divided up and tapped for its resources.
