Definately wasn't the A380, I think it was a 747 but i'm not too good with commercial aircraft. I'll have a look at some pics and come back with
some info.
EDIT- Yeah, i'm pretty sure it was a 747 and not a 707.
A comercial airliner can easily do a roll, but there is no way you would just see an airliner do a Roll in the sky. Also, it is not possible for a
airliner to roll on the X axis only without change yaw, altitude and pitch

I asked a few people at my ACF squadron (they were officers in the RAF) and they said that the RAF has commmercial aircraft and do tests with them.
Like testing public reaction and stuff like that. He also told me that is definately possible that a 747 could do tons of aerobatics, it just weakens
them a bit. Though I guess he could have been wrong, but 14 years in the RAF flying Nimrods would make him pretty reliable!
