I do not like Greenday. Not at all. I do not hate them but I will not listen to them at all. I hate the killers. They all sound like they have colds especially with that sombody told me song. Uhhk. Horrible. Fall out Boy isn't that great either. I listened to their songs and all of the sudden I hated it. I don't know why, I used to like it.

Does anybody else share these feelings? Probably not. :shk:

Green Day and Killers are both amazing bands, personally though Green Day is way beyond them all. They have accomplished alot and have recently become vocal about opinions and political situations and I appreciate that in a star. Who use their position to try to make a difference. A band like Fall Out Boy is going to be nothing more then a one hit wonder or maybe a One album wonder. 2 years from now we will have no idea who they are, Where Green Day will still be topping the charts. They have done what so many bands try to do, created a song that is absolutely timeless.

Green Day - Time of your Life

This song will be remembered and played for a long long time.

My friends love them and they've played their stuff a lot and I just think it's average. Not great but it's not bad. It is not something I would listen to day to day like they do but I would'nt mind if it was on in the car.

As for their song "Time of Your Life", I have just heard this song so much it drives a spike into my head. This one I can say I hate, and was one of the most overrated songs anyone ever suggest I listen to.

I like the lyrics to American Idiot but I mean they are getting way overplayed. To me. If I had a choice I would rather have Greenday (even though I don't really like em) than killers. Killers are way worse. Way way way way worse. Greenday is bad but killers just kill you.

I couldn't stand American Idiot. Good lyrics, but music? A dyslexic tonedeaf epileptic could crank out a better tune. Other than that abomination though, they're all good. For me the Great Green Day Song is 'When I Come Around'. Awesome.

GREENDAY?? AHHHHH !!!!!
Greenday I remember was that crazy punk band that used to cause a small riot when ever it played and all the people in the crowd were either drunk or on their way.

The present Greenday is some sick and twisted distortion of the Greenday it was to be, a sad emotional and sissy greenday that make me go........
YAWN......

Do you remember the television show "Everyone Loves Raymond"? Well, I didn't "love" Raymond -- even though the show was, at times, funny. In the same vein, even though Greenday is, at times, very good, I just don't like them. I find that their music is, well, trite. I've heard it before....

And, as for the band espousing political views.....all I see is a bunch of guys jumping on the bandwagon and mindlessly espousing the popular stream of opinion. If a band, or any star -- movie or television -- makes any sort of social statement, I believe it should be limited to the problems of hunger, slavery, poverty, etc.

Green Day are utter ****!

They used to be okay, but then I guess they sold their souls and went way too commercial. Now theyre every 13 year old's favourite "band".

They're a pretty good band. One of my favorite "new" bands. I don't like new stuff that much but I do like Green Day. I don't get sick of them getting played to much... never really listen to radio stations they'd be on and like they are randomnly played along with my like 1460 other songs.

How come I don't like them? I guess they are overplayed and only play 4 songs of them over and over again. I mean if you play any song over and over again people will eventually like it. I think Greenday is some sort of mind control. I mean I am the only person who doesn't like them. I mean they are not really bad but I would not choose to hear them if someone asked me. I wonder why I am not addicted to them. I need to find out why I am not controlled and why their music has not affected me in any way.

Trust me, you're not the only one who doesn't like them.

It hass nothign about being mature or not. I am 14 listen to Green Day (not the best but pretty good) I like Zeppelin The Beatles Pink Floyd and The Who just to name a few bands. I can be mature when I feel like it immature when I don't.

Maybe, just maybe, it's played because people like it.

Green Day is two words, BTW.

They're one of the biggest bands on the planet. The American Idiot album is a masterpiece. Of course, their old stuff is nice to listen to, but the real music didn't come until American Idiot came along. American Idiot is a clever album, and a helluva lot better than almost all (if not all) music currently topping the charts and a lot better than most punk anyway. (Be that pop-punk, neo-punk, modern-punk, cheapo-punk, fake-punk *yawn* ect...) The fact that American Idiot is still huge a year after its release says all it needs to say.

Exactly right!

The Killers are a classy new band too, I haven't heard anything like them for quite a while. It's an old sound reinvented. They're great.

I liked Nimrod when I was younger, but since then it's been middle of the road and "meh" music. Thats the trouble with some bands who start out young, they run out of steam and think they have to continue because they aren't "old".

Sorry Green Day, it's time for bed, you haven't got it anymore.
