Logically,I think it's a good idea.Perhaps it's the darkening of the pastel shade as it nears the bottom then straight to a light pastel shade again
that jars so.
Usualy I dont like colours, but the way you have used them here is great... looks neat. Makes the forum look a bit less boring, without making it look
too fun and gay(no offence to gay people), hehe.
Ok. Things might be getting a bit too color coded for my tastes once the background color in messages switched. Not a big deal, but when that took
place, I had to force my mini-profile's background to a different color or my GIF with a transparent background would look awkward on different and
clashing colors.
Color coding the background to posts according to the Forum doesn't have any additional benefit over and above color coding it in Todays Posts where
the visual difference helps a lot.
Once you're in the Forum, you know what Forum you're in.
Some of the colors cause pain to my eyes.
I think it gets to be a case of over-tweaking. See the mini-conversation Fulcrum and I had.
I would much rather be focused on quality of content. I hope I'm not an exception to the rule.
I like the color coded forums. It helps me navigate the board more effectively. Wish it was in place earlier.
I decided I wanted to go back & track down a post about a mysterious place in Bulgaria. Thought it was in the Website-Related forum but couldn't
find it. With a color code, I might have been able to track it down.
