No truth to report of Israeli evacuations before Amman bombs
There is no truth to reports that Israelis staying at the Radisson SAS hotel in Amman on Wednesday were evacuated by Jordanian security forces before the bombing that took place there.

The Israelis were escorted back to Israel by Jordanian security personnel only after the attacks had taken place, contrary to earlier reports.

Zarqawi was involved in a plot to target hotels frequented by Jewish and American tourists in Amman during millennial celebrations.

In October 2002, Zarqawi planned and facilitated the assassination of U.S. diplomat Lawrence Foley in Amman.

One of Zarqawi's most successful operations targeting Jordanian interests was the bombing of the Jordanian Embassy in Baghdad in August 2003.

In April 2004, Jordanian officials announced they had thwarted a major plot to attack various locations in Amman, including the Jordanian General Intelligence Department (GID) Headquarters, the Prime Ministry, and the U.S. Embassy.
Jordanian authorities maintain that the twenty tons of explosives intended for the multiple coordinated attacks contained more than ninety-two chemicals and would have resulted not only in a large explosion but a chemical cloudd [...] the bomb had the potential to injure 160,000 people.

Calling Amman the "backyard garden for the enemies of the religion," Al Qaeda in Iraq claimed responsibility for three homicide bomb attacks on Western hotels in the Jordanian capital that killed at least 56 people and injured at least 115 others.

Counterterrorism and war propaganda are intertwined. The propaganda apparatus feeds disinformation into the news chain. The terror warnings must appear to be "genuine". The objective is to present the terror groups as "enemies of America."

The propaganda campaign presents the portraits of the leaders behind the terror network. In other words, at the level of what constitutes an "advertising" campaign, "it gives a face to terror." The "war on terrorism" rests on the creation of one or more evil bogeymen, the terror leaders, Osama bin Laden, Abu Musab Al-Zarqawi, et al, whose names and photos are presented ad nauseam in daily news reports.

Often the CNN report is based on information published on an Islamic website or a mysterious Video or Audio tape. The authenticity of the website and/or the tapes is not the object of discussion or detailed investigation.

Bear in mind that the news reports never mention that Al Qaeda is a creation of the CIA and that Al Zarqawi had been recruited to fight in the Soviet-Afghan war (This is in fact confirmed by Sec. Colin Powell in his presentation to the UN Security Council on 5 February 2003) (see details below). Both Osama bin Laden and Abu Musab Al-Zarqawi are creations of the US intelligence apparatus. The recruitment of foreign fighters was under the auspices of the CIA.

The Counterterrorism Blog: Zarqawi's Al-Qaida Faction Claims Amman Blasts, Promises More Attacks in Jordan


In an initial statement posted early this morning, Al-Qaida's Committee in Iraq announced that members of its Al-Baraa bin Malik "Martyrs" Brigade had carried out the attacks on "hotels used by the Jordanian tyrants as a garden for the Jews and Christians—the enemies of Islam... and as a secure base for infidel intelligence forces who are conspiring against the Muslims." Al-Qaida further warned that "the wall protecting the Jews that was built in eastern Jordan—along with the secret training camp for the crusader army and the government of Iraq—have become targets for the mujahideen." A second statement released by Al-Qaida later in the day expanded on the rationale behind the hotel bombings:

"They had become the preferred locations for intelligence forces—especially the Americans, the Israelis, and some Western European nations—where they fight their secret campaign in the so-called war against terrorism. These [forces] are joined by the secret services of Egypt and the Palestinian Authority, and Saudi intelligence—in addition to the intelligence department of the Jordanian tyrant. It is where they conspire how to destroy the mujahideen in Palestine, Mesopotamia, and the Arabian Peninsula... The hotels] have also become secure secret bases for… meetings of the apostate government, including [Shiites] and... the apostate Iyad Allawi—who the Crusaders are preparing for the new ‘Dayton’ conspiracy by forming an alliance with the fools amongst the Sunnis."
