The Psychedelic Trance / Psytek / Prog-psy thread

The recent release of the new Ticon, S.U.N. Project and GMS albums made me feel like starting a thread on this particular genre of music. Psytrance is in my opinion the most evolved form of music so far, The modern day version of classical music, only Psy (and this applies to all the variants of the goa trance style as well) has no limitations whatsoever. Anything is possible, any sound can be used, at any speed. The whole spectrum of emotions can be recreated through this genre, And becoming one with god on the dancefloor is pretty much a mystical experience.

Add a few others like GMS and joti sidhu, and thats pretty much it. I also try to attend big festivals in my area like the 3 days eclipse festival in canada every july. Next year id like to try to attend the samothraki festival or others big psy events in europe. Lucky europeans have week long parties with the biggest artists.

i love this music... possibly the best form of music out right now.

you mentioned many of the same people I would have mentioned.

especially Astral Projection and Infected Mushroom... i'm actually listening to Classical Mushroom right now lol.

I actually make this type of music myself, working on an album actually.

Two guys i think you forgot to mention, even though they might fall more into the break beats type, is Hybrid.. they are incredible IMO.
