The Ultimate Fighter

What an amazing card of fights last night for the finale of the Ultimate Fighter reality show that was shown live on Spike tv.

The Welterweight bout featured Kit Cope (2-2) Versus Kenny Florian (6-2) from the Ultimate Fighter 1 reality series.Florian won :37 seconds into round 2 with a rear naked choke but the armbar he had on cope to end round 1 left cope one handed and easy prey for Florian who looked really smooth in a great win.




The Welterweight final bout for UfC 2 reality show featured Luke Cummo (6-1) versus Joe Stevenson (29-6).In a fight that i thought would be a brutal and easy ground and pound victory for Stevenson turned into an amazing battle with great defense and some nice strikes by slippery and dangerous Cummo.Stevenson won the UFC contract and the reality series with a unanimous decision.




The Heavyweight final bout for the UFC reality series was a great slugfest featuring 6'7" Brad Imes (5-0) versus 5'7" Rashad Evans (11-0). Evans edged out a victory by split decision but this was a slobberknocker in all sense of thw word,both men were winded and rocked numerous times,Great battle.




The Main Event was a Welterweight bout between 2 guys that really dont like each other. Diego Sanchez (16-0) Versus Nick Diaz (11-3-0).Now some background on this one is that Sanchez won the original UFC Ultimate Fighting Championship reality tv series ans Diaz has been telling everyone diego doesnt deserve the fame he's getting as he hasnt fought anyone of quality.I expected an easy ground and pound by Sanchez but Diaz had awesome defence on his back and gave Sanchez his most difficult victory yet,a unanimous decision. These 2 guys are both great young fighters and this rivalry will go on for years in a Welterweight divison that is just stacked with competition.





UFC 56 Full Force November 19

Rich Franklin (21-1-0) vs Nate Quarry (14-1-0)

Matt Hughes (38-4-0) vs Joe Riggs (26-6-0)

These are the double Main Event matches with Franklin and Hughes both defending their titles and im really excited to see these fights.Its hard to say either man could lose but id love to hear some predictions for future fights and some fight talk about the awesome matches we've already seen.

Yeah man awesome fights. I was really shocked how Diego Sanchez took down Diaz and dominated the fight.

Diego's take downs are just relentless i expected him to knock Diaz out even though Diaz recently knocked out Robby lawler but i dont think ive ever seen a guy get out of the way of so many punches.Diego looked a little shocked after the fight like he might have under estimated Diaz,id love to see a rematch.

I'd love to see a rematch too. Diaz was doing a great job stuffing Diego's takedowns in the 3rd, but like you said he's relentless.

You gonna watch UFC 56? I like Fanklin and Hughes but i think Franklin has the tougher fight. I think Hughes will handle Riggs relatively easily. Quarry has excellent stand-up but so does Franklin and if it goes to the ground (which i doubt) i think Franklin has the edge.

I totally agree,Hughes should get it on the ground quick,i have high expectations for the Franklin vs Quarry fight and have been excited about it since it was announced,Quarry could be a shocker here.We gather at a friends place for all the fights and i definately wont miss this one.Love the tv show as well..never miss it.
