Americans coming to their senses (yes another thread about China)

America is slowly coming to its senses as we see here that not only do we have the viewpoint of a Washington official but also a look inside China that I'm sure none of you have had.

From what i understand from the article it is trying to down play the threat of china to the U.S. 'As for Americans coming to their senses' i think that is a vague and generalized statement.

Most americans wouldn't have a stance on china either way. The only thing most people know is that a large percentage of the things we buy come from china, and that their the largest populated country in the world. My overall take from the article is this:
