Cindy Sheehan had a press conference today, and only 2 reporters showed up.

It's amazing what picking on Bush does, compares to when you pick on Hillary.

In August and September it was Cindy 24/7. The press was in love with her. I always thought she was a pathetic person, now the whole world knows.

Her son died in Iraq, cousin. She's obliviously in terrible grief and yes, some were/are using her grief to fuel their agenda but there is no need for Rush to call her a "sad sack"...sack of what??? I would like to know. What has he sacrificed in this war on terror--how dare he call her a "sad sack". The link you put up was just pathetic and I can't see how any american could actually listen to that crap commentary. He really needs to grow up. For shock value--for the funny, well it's neither shocking nor funny, just pathetic. If you don't have respect for her position at least have respect for her son who gave his life when other's just sit on their fat behinds calling grieving mother's "sad sack".

RUSH: What a joke.

indeed.

A "Sad Sack" is an old Army nickname given to a troop that fails to perform to standard (messy bunk, wrinkled uniform, scuffed boots etc). Cindy has failed to perform to her son's patriotic standards.

She already had a one-on-one meeting with the President, hugged him, thanked him for caring, and commented that she felt GW truly cared for, and understood her loss. Which is a far cry from the pathetically coreographed sideshow she has willingly become.

Mzzzzzzz Shehag is a Sad Sack.

@Army

Tuesday, when I get more Above Top Secret votes, you will receive one.

Sheehan is a disgrace to her son.

Casey Sheehan ignored his mother and joined the Army. He also ignored her pleas to desert.

Instead of being "Hero" Casey Sheehan, he is becoming Casey Sheehan "Son of the Crazy Woman". I don't think he would approve.

Say what you like because this is all opinion. But, at the end of the day Rush is no better than the anti-war people that are using Cindy Sheehan's grief to further their agenda. He's attacking her because she opposes the war that killed her son--(though he gave his life willingly, and I suspect bravely) she is entitled to grief how ever she wishes.

And, I highly doubt the "sad sack" Rush was using had anything to do with the "old army" term and even if it did it is totally disrespectful of Casey, as is anyone questioning his hero status at this point...he's dead and can't defend himself or his mother.

Uh, why isn't he in jail? I thought doing illegal drugs was illegal? Must be a republican thing.

Anyways, look at that, all these sideline cheerleaders acting big yet would never even think about signing up. Me? I wouldn't, mainly because I have heard what happens in boot camp, fist beatings, soap in sock beatings, rapes, other nasty things that make you wish you were being shot at in Iraq.

Saphronia, at NO point has Rush belittled Casey's committment and sacrifice, in fact Rush holds Casey in high esteem. You need to listen to Rush a little better...if you do at all. Rush understands, and has many times recognised Cindy's grief. However, she has become a willing pawn of the anti-American leftists, and THAT is what Rush attacks, not the loss of her son.

Full Metal, you might want to check my profile. I HAVE been to Iraq, I HAVE seen the situation first hand, and unlike you, I HAVE and real honest first person opinion of the war on terror.

BTW, you really need to stop basing your ignorant opinions on TV and movie depictions of basic training. If you really think that is how it is, then we don't want you anyway, we want men and women that can think for themselves.

Okay, sure. I'll agree, where ever Casey Sheehan is he's glad Rush is calling his momma a "sad sack" just as long as he doesn't say anything about him directly. Makes a lot of sense to me now don't know why i didn't see it before.

Oh yes can't criticize Rush now can I Army? I mean, after all if a republican does illegal drugs then it is ok, I mean, Bush did coke and pot so really, using the black market to buy drugs is no big deal.

Twist my words any way you want, for anyone can see that is not what I wrote.

Rush was hooked on a prescription drug, he did not begin his addiction by experimenting with drugs or alcohol for the sole purpose of getting high. Rush admitted his problem sought help, and is now clean and sober.

Please, show us the proof of GW doing drugs. Not here-say, not second/third/fourth hand, not some link to another conspiricy site. Show us an arrest record, rehab record, sales reciept, anything at all that proves absolutely that GW did illegal drugs.

He admitted his drinking problem publically, sought help through the Lord, and has been clean and sober since.

Criticism is fine and healthy, simply pissing on someone because you do not agree with their outlook on life....is rather cowardly.

Rush...what a freaking name heh?

only rich people name their kid Rush.

My take on the Cindy Sheenan ordeal...

I see a middle aged woman who is most likely(almost obvious) "Ex Hippie".

Probably pro peace and all that. Talented in public speaking, not just because her son died.

I would go to extreme measures too if my child died in a war I disagreed with.. even if the child had different beliefs. And you people treat her like she's a devil.

When I see Sheehan I do not see a person who is grieving, on the contrary, she seems to be having the time of her life with her new found fame.

She's a crazy nobody and she's fading from the limelight fast.

Now she's pushing her book.
Yep. She is now cashing in on
her 15 minutes of fame.

Figures.

I must say, I find it fairly hilarious that most of those keeping her name alive here on the board are only the ones who hate her for what she's doing. Who just despise her anti-war stance and the nerve she has to speak out for what she believes in... A right she absolutely has as being a citizen of this country, by the way.

Her '15 minutes' are only being extended by people who want to shut her up. It's just funny!

I don't hate her because she speaks out for what she believes in.

I don't hate her at all. I pity her. She's crazy and in deep need of
psychological help but no one is getting it for her. The radical left
is using her to further their own extremist blathering. They don't
care about her mental health. When they are done with her they
will ignore her and she'll be there all alone. I wouldn't be surprised
if she went the way of suicide when they were done with her.

A right she absolutely has as being a citizen of this country, by the way.

Yeah, she does. We all agree with that. So why
do you feel the need to 'educate' us on it? hmm?
