H5N1 IS an Issue!

I've heard alot of people say that the "Bird" Flu is not a major threat in the United States. I'm on my city's Vol. Fire Department, and we have plans to use several large, remote buildings as quarantine centers for people that are suspected to be infected with H5N1. Obviously it's smart to have such a precaution, but, they are very specific, and it is a mandated training program for our departments (from what our training officer says).

Knowing this information, it leads me to believe that officials in the United States are expecting a widespread pandemic.

Thats a good idea.my husband is a retired fireman of 21 years.i guess the new fireman are working on new and great stuff..good post
