Venus, With all due respect please re-read the thread.
I have linked to Williams original FYI about the Mud pit twice now. The todays post section was being, in effect, spammed by active debates going on in that forum usually between two people who I don't need to mention. It completely defeated the purpose of even having the today's posts section since nothing else was showing up there besides the Mud Pit subjects that were for all purposes private bitch sessions between two (or more) members. It was beginning to drown out the other quality discussions that were pertinent to the site at the time and the decision was made to subdue that effect without just shutting down the forum.
(how was that for a long sentence?)
I remember when it happened, I was pretty active in the "Pit" at the time. Posts were happening so fast that the todays posts section literally had 4-5 entries of the same thread in it at one time! It was for the best in my opinion.

Can we drop this and get back to what we are all here for now? Please?
