For me there are five definative acts that everyone should see play.

1: The Divine Comedy
2: Rammstein
3: Chemical Brothers
4: Muse
5: Scissor Sisters

Just saw Pearl Jam for the third time a couple of weeks ago. One of the friends I went with couldn't believe how great they sounded live. Some bands end up sounding nothing like they do on their albums, not the case here. Awesome live!

trawling through some hazy memories of gigs here...

The Rolling Stones has to be a highlight, because its the Stones, and because they're an amazing live act.

Ocean Colour Scene - Amazing atmosphere at their gigs, so many sing-along anthems, along with jump around rockers, and haunting b-sides; the most complete gig experience you could hope for. and they can play.

Paul Weller - I'm much too young to have seen the Jam live, but Weller solo is still something special.

Kasabian - Utterly mind-blowing!

Bob Dylan - Get to see him before he dies!

Manic Street Preachers - They were fantastic, I wish I'd seen them earlier though, before Richey "went".

Skindred - Not many people have even heard of these, but they were explosive when I saw them live at some cheap park gig somewhere....well, they were great.

I'm just gutted I never got to see Pink Floyd live.....especially after seeing their Live 8 performance, I feel like kidnapping them and forcing them to play in Cardiff one last time

the next band I'd like to see is The MArs Volta - love them or hate them, they do a heck of a live show, or so I've read. And I love them, so it's a must see for me.

Bruce Springsteen puts on great live shows. I've seen him alone 2x during the Ghost of Tom Joad tour, totally amazing. Then, saw him twice w/ the E. Street Band. Great live performer. Lots of energy. Hard to beat his live shows.

Just saw the Foo Fighters a few weeks ago, they really rocked. Im still in awe.

I saw more concerts when I was younger, so I can't really compare to the bands sound and shows nowadays.

1. Zeppelin, this was the greatest show on earth in the 70's.
2. Stones, the start me up tour was the best they ever done.
3. Ozzy, Diary of a madman tour with Randy Rhoades, I will never forget.
4. Santana, just plays forever.
5. Metallica, the Black album tour, mind blowing.

And all but Metallica, I paid less then 20 bucks, the good ole days.
