I was bored tonight so I whipped up some weird photoshop ideas.

I aged a guitar in photoshop.

The image on the left is the original guitar. On the right is my aged version.

The body color is obviously different, but I wanted to use the yellow for the vintage. I dont think they made strats in that color actually. Anyways I altered the body color, aged the plastic parts, added a little pickguard wear, some fretboard wear and general fretboard age. There are some knicks in the paint etc. The part where the armrest is worn is actually a mistake I made early on and could not undue.

Other than that it turned out pretty good.

Here is an attempt to DRAW a Rickenbacker type finish. This one doesnt look as good, but looks alright considering its airburshed on.

I did the vintage things again.

Same before image was used.

I used to use Photosuite4 for my image editing. Recently I got PhotoShop Elements 4.0. Using PhotoShop almost feels like cheating compared to what I used to have to use.

I hope you don't mind me playing with your guitar. I could never do something like this with photosuite.
