Welcome Brother, and Congratulations!!!

I hope you enjoyed it!! You will be priviledged to see and learn more, as others continue to come in behind you. If you can attend other intiations I would recommend that you do so. I participate in my Lodge as often as I can in Degrees. It really helps alot.

I hope to sit in Lodge with you some day, too!

Congrats, i'm not a member, but i observe the order closely. I'm sure it will be a good experience for you. As your new brothers have said, pay close attention, read everything you can get your hands on and do not let any antimason propoganda get you down.. remember.. propoganda is just that. find out for yourself what the order is.. and remember that the order is made up of the men that join it, and if good men join the order, it will be a force of good

That having been said, anyone here have any suggestions for my reading list? i have a wonderfull copy of morals and dogma (Damn that Pike fella could write)but i always need more knowlege, i know you guys have oaths to protect, and i'm not looking for any guarded secrets, but i would really like to get the orders deeper view on ancient history and esoteric matters.

That having been said, i am already aware of such writers as Pike, Crowley, Hall, Leadbeater, Wescott, Waite, Agrippa.. as well as those fine ladies of the golden dawn and co-masonry, i.e. Blavatsky, Fortune and Besant

Again i am not looking for anyone to break any oaths.. in the age of information one does not need a mason to break an oath to learn such secrets. i just need more books for my library.. always need more books.. more books....

Oh and you guys with the goat & sacrafice comments.. FOR SHAME!!!

This man obviously sees the best of the Order, and hopes to be part of the best of the Order. and people like you drive away those for whom the order really needs.. decent intellegent people who want to help and heal the world.. as i said.. if good men join the order, then the order will be a force for good

And you Nuk are obviously that guy that stood off by himself because he was just tooo cool for everyone else.. to bad you never realised that everyone else just thought you were a jerk.

And it is really sad that you would lower yourself to making comments like yours when a man is trying to celebrate something he is proud of, i dont know if you know this or not, but becomming a Mason isnt so cut and dry as anyone might have you belive. it takes time, effort and study.

that having been said GROW UP, and let this man enjoy the fruits of his efforts.

Beacon by all means we will all enjoy the fruits of our efforts one way or the other, and i wasnt even trying to be sarcastic or anything like that
I was merely making a bloody joke for fecks sake, you masons still know how to laugh dont you? And i didnt post it for Axeman, but for all that wrote something like "oh i can call you brother soon"

I wont even go into your "jerk" ccomment, becouse that really shows how grown up you actually are and im not here to pick a fight. And whos "everyone else".....you and your 10 brothers?

silly, you could come out with a smart and funny comment on my post, but instead you take it so seriously like your life depended on it. Is someone holding a knife on your neck?

Congratulations Axeman, i know youve been wanting it since you got here. I hope it will be everything you imagine.

This thread sounds remarkably similar to others like:

My Masonic Journey Begins...

(which I found remarkably informative)

I know you'd been looking at it for quite some time Axeman, but do we really have to keep making hundreds of "I'm going to be a Mason!" threads? Seriously, it's like a whole new type of propaganda like:

by making so many splinters. Can we keep it focused please? Ah well, at least it's free advertising seeing new ones pop up, right?

OK? And these guys are coming into the Consp. in Religion forum and dumping on YOUR parade? Different propaganda?

Remember what Mom said, "If you don't have anything nice to say............."

Heh. Heheheh.

Wrong.

Dude... relax, willya?

FYI, there were alot of people on this board who were interested in my progress. This is for me and for them. Not advertising, not "unfocused."

You don't like it, don't read it; or did someone force you to?

Sheesh.

Just think it's redundant, not trying to rain on anyone's parade. Sorry if it was taken more seriously than I meant it.

I wasn't planning on starting a new thread for this, and the response from a certain moderator to beermudatriangle's thread of the same nature vindicates that decision, but since this particular thread made it through a few days without being closed, I thought I might try my luck here.

I wasn't supposed to be initiated into my lodge until the new year, seeing as there were a large number of initiations, passings, and raisings to be performed this year, but a spot managed to open up for me on November 22, and I was all excited for my initiation to come sooner rather than later. However, the next day I got a call saying that the next scheduled initiate had to cancel, and if I wanted to, I could be pushed up to the very next day. Well, I accepted, and so last night I was initiated into the mysteries of Ancient Freemasonry.

It was interesting. Now I have to try to figure out what it all meant.

Bro. Lexicon, E.A.

Lexicon, due to the previous post that you mentioned I can't say all that I would like.

Your confusion is normal at this point, that is one of the most important duties of your coach.

Good luck
