Interesting that the blurb doesn't mention that Nick used to work for the Ministry of Defence....and has connections to the MoD response to UFOs (i.e. his name appears on some of the officially released docs, etc.).
Definitely one of the better UFOlogists out there....
I wish I was in the UK, hehe...

Can't wait for this...hasen't been a decent UFO or even paranormal documentary on UK TV for as long as I can remember, and as people have said, the presenter sounds like an honest, intelligent bloke. If I even had a VCR i'd record it too! If its good does anyone have the ability to digitise the show and upload it?

I'll be watching it but I don't hold out much hope.

The trailer has someone (Nick Cook ?) saying the CIA encouraged people to believe in UFOs with background pictures of the Nazi/US experiments with saucer craft. (Same old, same old)

I'm preparing myself to be disappointed.

Still, soon find out. It's on in 15 mins.

Its all theories so far. Nazi technology ''could have been responsible'' for UFO sightings over Germany they say...

That old dude who worked on the secret balloons in 1947 was lieing when he said he was 'sure it was balloon crash at roswell'. Notice he was looking at Nick the entire time then when asked about that crash he looked down when he was saying what he sure it was at Roswell I'm sure that is an indication of lieing not being able to look at the person your talking to direct in the eyes.

A helicopter? The policeman says he saw a silver disk performing advanced manuveres and that old dude once again dismisses it and says it is a helicopter. I could understand if the policeman saw it from a distance but he was right next to it.

So far it's above average.

Nick Cook seems skeptical about official stories and a few facts have rarely been seen on TV. Foo Fighters and pilot reports offer the best evidence including the exclusive interview with a U2 radar man.

Could end up being an intelligent debunking episode yet.

Sorry for the one liner but that lifter was cool. Must remember the term "Iron Wind".

So far it's above average.

I agree and at least he commented at the end that he found some of the sightings intriguing enough that we may not be alone. All in all even though i didnt accept all his explanations it was put together well with at a decent attempt at gathering the facts to back up his claims, rather than completely ridiculing the subject as usual.
channel 4.

I do agree that this show was good, and defiantly above average. The history of the top-secret nazi technology was really interesting.
The one thing I would of liked to of seen a bit more of, would be delving into the secret technology of today. I was also surprised to see Tim Ventura from American anti gravity at the end flying his lifters.
All in all it was a good show, and did take a rational look at the UFO topic.

I was pleasantly surprised by this show. He seemed more concerned with debunking the balloon story of Roswell rather than offering any concrete explanation, and admits that extraterrestrials could be one explanation.

He covered a lot of ground from the 30s to the present day, but this meant that there were a lot of omissions from, in particular, the Roswell Story (e.g. no mention of MAJ-12). He did mention the Twining Memo.

I had never seen Tim Ventura's flyer before and it was one of those moments where I'm staring at the screen open-mouthed. Impressive.

Not so much a UFO documentary, but a review of secret technology. Still good nonetheless!

Watched it was ok as far as i am concerned nothing too out there and the debunkers well i normally respect my elders but the ballon guy was sus as hell. One thing i will say in connection with the proggie is in the UK just lately theres been hella alot about aliens and ufos on from this program to childrens shows promoting the science museum (think thats right) alien exhibition plus noticed something on CBBC where some presenters where gushing over thier visit to lil alien inn and area51. I was skeptical about the discloser project but the bbc would never normally allow such overtly promotion about aliens to a very susceptiable group as children to happen. In the uk were talking about banning adverts about junk food yet in the same intense promoting aliens?

Thought it was pretty good - presenting an interesting and plausible theory, IMO.

I noticed that he didn't mention that a lot of those experiments were failures. That German experiment using high powered fields, if was in fact a workable experiment then why didn't they win the war? Because they couldn't get it off the ground.

I felt that the gentleman that claimed that the Roswell incident was part of a balloon was a load of rubbish.

They are just discrediting the witnesses that got a good look at the object and trying to tell them that they saw crash dummies. They suggested people in the Deep South and in the desert were naive and stupid.

I have a photograph that I would love to email Nick Cooke and get him to get the government to talk themselves out of that one. It is no hoax and I have the negative and original photo.

If mankind had the technology that he suggested existed then why are we still using rocket fuel to go into space?

love and light to all of you

I quite liked the program,
i thought it was fairly even handed, especially for a terestrial tv program,
the points made involving the cia propaganda, Cattle mutilations, and also the plan to build saucer shaped crafts with a little help from German scientists, are all well based facts,
The only thing i did'nt like, was when one of the so called experts said,
" somebody who claims to have been abducted, are mentally impaired " i may be paraphrasing but it was definetly an eyebrow raiser.

Nick Cook, is a British Aerospace specialist,
and what i found most interesting was his opinion on the 'hypersonic' Aurora, and the 'pulsed detonation wave engines', theoretically capable of producing speeds of Mach 10
" looking at the satalite iamages of the contrails, " i suggest that something is definitely going on "

it seemed to me that Nick Cook is convinced the Aurora exists,

I thought It was a pretty interesting show was neither for or against really just tried to look at the facts! My only complaints are that he didn't really go to in depth into a lot of the sitings I guess this was due to the limitations of time and also there was no mention of any NASA footage or other famous cases such as the phoenix lights! I was very interested in the story of the US test pilot who was flying the top secret planes of the time who had a siting while on a test flight cant remember his name so if anybodies got any more info on that if they could let me know!
