India-France sign Scorpene deal worth U.S.$ 3.5bn

India and France have just signed a landmark deal for the manufacture of 6 Scorpene Class submarines on a TOT (Transfer of Technology) basis, in the state of the art Mazgaon Docks in Mumbai.

The details are sketchy and that is one of the reasons why i have posted this. There was some talk about the submarines incorporating stealth technology but there doesnt seem to be any confirmation of the same. I would like more info, if anybody out there has the same.
