Canberra bus shelter bombed

A POWERFUL explosive was used to blow up a bus shelter in Canberra, police said today.

Police said a bus shelter in the suburb of Oaks Estate was blown up in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Pieces of the shelter were blown more than 60 metres from the point of impact.

Police said local residents had provided the descriptions of two men seen in the area.

Anyone with information on the incident was asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1 800 333 000.

personally i think it was a sick joke. but it goes to show that no-one can be too shure theyre safe and free from this kind of behaviour.
