Mr Ryan, 38, was alerted to the events in the 1980s by a housemate who was there. Unlike most UFO sightings, the Westall object had a large number of credible witnesses. It was viewed in daylight and attracted a forceful response from police and the RAAF.

I'm very happy that some of the mainstream media has nowadays a positive approach to these things and not running them trough dirt.

It is definitely better to see the media talk about an "Unknown" than it is to see them talking about known hoaxers like Jonathan Reed who was also recently in the Mainstream News.
