This Wisconsin home hasn't paid a heating bill in 18 years. And yes, it's warm inside.
It was built in '79 after the last oil crunch. I think we will find another wave of smart house building now but the momentum for it will build slowly. We already have the gas-smart cars, soon the energy-smart buildings will be back in style.
If this trend continues there won't be an energy 'crunch.' The country will adapt. Free-market economy is the best type to survive alteration of the 'environment' (in this case the energy needs.
