Finally they got rid of that stupid ban. Everyone else (Canadaians, Brits, French) can go on vacation to Cuba except us....made no sense.

Why in the world would anyone who lives here want to to to Cuba? These poor people risk life and limb to get away swimming through shark and jellyfish infested waters. What is in Cuba that is so irresistable to you?

Well, I for one would love to visit Cuba. I studied it for Geography in school, and It's a hell of a lot nicer than the US government would have you believe! There are some lush landscapes, and it's a really friendly place.

Plus, I've always wanted to visit all the homages to Che Guevara in Havana.

Add to that Fury's *suggestion* and you've got a damn fine place in my opinion

Yeah visiting Cuba is not that high on my list of things to do. Let me rephrase that it ain't on my list. I have no reason to visit there and could die a happy man having never been. I simply do not see the use in it. Then again one mans trash is another mans treasure so I can see how some people would be interested in visiting there.

Hmm....lets see. How about beautiful beaches, a fascinating culture, and just the thrill of going to another country. How's that? Do you know how much an American dollar is worth there?

People flee from other countries (China, Mexico, etc) and those countries still get large amounts of tourists. Why would Cuba be any different?

Maybe while they're at it congress can get rid of that "any refugee from Cuba who makes it can automatically stay" rule. It's not really fair. They don't do the same thing for people from Haiti...

Mexico has all these minus a dictator, so does Bora bora, and The Galapagos Islands. Why pick Cuba over them? Personally I find the history of Mexico to be much more interesting then that of Cuba.

Cuba may the place to go if you are seeking a world record large mouth bass. Back in the 1950's before Castro, several Cuban lakes were stocked with large mouth bass for American tourists. Since the water is warm all year round, the bass can grow BIG. These lakes have not been properly fished since 1960 (definitely no pro-bass fishermen). Many big time bass pros have stated that they think that Cuba could very easily produce a world record (maybe 30 pounds+).

yeah exactly....personally Cuba is the equivalent of all those places, except that it is much cheaper. And what is Castro going to do........nothing his country needs the tourism.

Maybe it's time we forgave Cuba. Castro will be dead soon and let's face it, what he did pissed off a bunch of people in the 60's. Those people are probably all dead now. Whatever...it' doesn't matter. "But Cuba has a dictator", you say...so what? So does the US. They also have some nice beaches and hot women. Oh, and nice cigars, if you're in to that kind of thing.

The more people go to Cuba, the less go to Aruba...

Cuba is our direct competition...
