To all the people of the land
Hear ye, hear ye, best you can
Know of storms, quakes and floods
Fireous mountains that erupt in blood

Why I ask remain you there?
You know the threat, yet still you dare
To tempt fate, to tempt trouble
Be not buried in the rubble

Heed the warnings, heed the pain
Save yourselves or die again
Find a place known to be quiet
Go there soon and avoid the riots

Don’t come cryin if you are stricken
Don’t come cryin and start your bitchin
You knew the risks and still you chose
To tempt your fate and ignore those
Who gave the warnings loud and clear
So don’t come cryin on these deaf ears

You on the coasts know of the ocean
You near the faults know of the motion
You near the mountains of fiery doom
Save yourselves and do it soon

Or watch in silence as bodies clear
Watch in horror as lives dissapear
It’s your own damn fault for tempting fate
I shall not bear the brunt of your terrible weight

Heed the alerts, heed the news
Save yourselves and change your views
Find a place free from trouble
Go there soon or be in the rubble

Don’t come cryin if you are stricken
Don’t come cryin and start your bitchin
You knew the risks and still you chose
To tempt your fate and ignore those
Who gave the warnings loud and clear
So don’t come cryin on these deaf ears

Hear Ye The Voice Of DOOM!

I hope you won't take this the wrong way, but I kept thinking of this guy the whole time:

Fig 1. Tim the Enchanter

That said, it's some good poetry, and the delivery is, well... "enchanting".

I think you have what it takes to break into the prophecy business.

Beware, though, the many grim Laments of the Prophets: the pay sucks and the severance package is even worse.

rofl, you crack me up as usual....

I dunno maybe you'll understand this, Majic. I was sitting here going through a post some hours ago, when for some reason I got this very strong urge to write. It was so strong, it just took me over. And so in about 10 minutes I wrote that with very little revision, and was even more taken over by the urge to do a podcast of it. It was weirdo, bonkers, all that, but I just got consumed by this "voice." The word "proclamation" just kept coming into my head the whole time.

That has never, ever happened to me in that way. EVER. It's freaky man, and I dunno what to make of it. I really really hope it is not an omen of things to come.

PS. And by the way, now I remember what the post was that I was reading when the urge hit. Paul Richard's last reply to the meditation PDC thread, In Response To TrueAmerican’s Reply 10...

That was really cool! I absolutely love your delivery!

And I know what it's like to have a creative urgency. Very well-done!

Thanks much BH! I am worried a bit about it, because of the way it came. There was this rare sense of urgency. But hopefully it is nothing. Just another thought, to another human, in some trying times.

I think I know the feeling, man. It's inspiration in it's most basic form. An insight that burned within you and needed to move out of you. Pure creation.

That's what I think, anyway.

If what Paul Richard proposes is true
Who knows where this came from or who
I really hope there is not great pain
Lord please keep us out of the rain
