From the beginning of my time here at ATS I have found a large amount of Anti Chinese propoganda being thrown at the members of ATS. I've done my best to try to give an opposing opinion based on my opinions, neutral sources, and my own two eyes and the eyes of others.

And now is the time to see what is happening. Hong Kong Democrats are visiting Mainland China with pro-demoracy slogans and T-shirts and have been invited and allowed to do so. This is in my opinion a start for a new democratic movement that will begin a change, a change that will one day lead to the evolution of socialism to true Communism. It will be a hard struggle, and there will be challenges and pressure. No doubt it will take a while to make sure we have the economic and military capabilities to defend ourselves and to mantain our interests abroad while we progress into the future.

Once China stops things like this, I will start to believe they are making strides toward freedom.

The CCP is no longer either socialism or communism, it's simply fascism.

The Middle Kingdom, it is a good article and it is about time people realise what actually went on in China during the 'Cultural Revolution'.

Since day one, Communism and Socialism have tried to be a Government where everyone is equal and has ability to put their view on moral issues down on a ballet as well as challenge any law and let the public decide. Slowly, over the last 5years, China has been moving towards such a system.

At the present moment, it isn't a perfect nation however no Nation is. It'll take years, probably several decades but there is a real change with the new leadership what was wanted can eventually happen and more and more people can have a say in the Nation once and for all...

Thank you for your support, I'm trying to reframe from getting into too deep in discussions that would propably turn into a ad hominan slug fest.

I understand my system and I also understand its not perfect, but I see it as what is best for China and I know it will evolve into something that one day we can all be proud of.

For we are "All Under Heaven".

The Chinese Goverment are at a stage in their evolution where they can go one of two ways;
Increase the level of public involvement or
Decrease the level of public involvement.

One will lead to a system of Goverment with the public voting one will lead to them being forced away and another revolution.

The CCP know they can keep control and let them have their say on moral laws, they will likely go for the first option and not risk the second.

Here is an interesting article that i think shows that the level of public involvement is being forced to decrease.
China village democracy skin deep
Democracy is not something that the CCP wants to become too popluar, and when they feel threatened by it they surpress it.

"arrest of dozens of villagers"

For a democratic system thats spread over a million villages i'ld think that only a few dozen villagers being arrested is small and most likely a small stone in the water.

Most likely some areas are progressing better then others. After all the states has similar problems sometimes to with civil disobediance.
