Terror Testimony Blocked

This is straight from today's local newspaper and is a condensed version of what was written by an unnamed AP reporter in Washington. The US Dept of Defence has forbidden a military intelligence officer from testifying about the work of a secret military unit that identified four of the Sept 11 hijackers more than a year before the attacks. Further the Pentagon refused to permit testimony by a defence contractor represented by the same lawyer. The unit is code-named Able Danger and using data mining techniques apparently identified four of the terrorists including Mohamed Atta. The Dept of Defence decide that open testimony would not be appropriate because of security concerns about discussing the work of the unit in a public forum. It was also revealed that on three occasions Able Danger personnel attempted to provide the FBI with information but Dept of Defence lawyers stopped them because of legal concerns about military-run investigations on US soil. It has also been charged that records associated with the unit were destroyed in 2000 and 2001 and copies were destroyed in 2004.

Just more proof the US intenionally let the attacks happen.
Doesnt matter though, its getting to a point where it doesnt matter what the public knows, because they arent the ones in power. The ones in power will proceed how ever they please regardless.
