Well, if you have a video card, use video input recording.
like Svideo or RCA Video in from your VCR. RCA is the white red yellow cables.
So, you put video into VCR, hook VCR output to your Video Card input, have some Video Capture software ready to record the video as it plays.
(Pinnacle, Adobe Premier, MovieMaker, Win DVD Director) are all examples of software.
But your video card has to support video input. You would also need to set windows to use the video card for input.
