Only because their is interpretation in each one being taught by human beings who were taught before them, etc.

I, myself, am a very spiritual person. I have a strong belief in the father and know that the Holy Spirit resides within us all.

Religions have bought nothing but strife to the world. I read where George UU Bush is using Bible passages given him from Jack Van Impe to make decisions in the Middle East. Hopefully, that is not true. Van Impe preaches and recites fear as do most preachers that stand before their "congregation".

Satyr, I dont think you are right because the bible have an historical value true. And some verses of the bible can have a so deep interpretation that some of them are more wisdom (correct), even than science...

Examples? Name a few. Where's the documented science in the bible? I'd love to see it. It's not "deep", it's just vague. There's a difference.

Science is vague also... And always remain undertermined... For the scientific answer, if I explained you everything, I think this could take several ATS threads. A simple exemple I know. Big-Bang is evocated in the first verses of genesis. "And GOD said let the light be, and the light is".
The voice of God = Sound... And from the sound come the light... no ?

The bible have a great historical value because it's the older book we have. Think that the bible tales started via the voice tradition when men was still "cavemen". That's why the Bible give so much importance to the verb, and the voice.

Exactly! We all know that people were alot smarter back then, right? Sure! They believed in magic, and killed people just for being different! Much of history is only valuable as a deterrent not to make the same mistakes again.

Nans

Moises forbidden to kill and human sacrifice done for the pagans divinities called "moloch" in the moses books. "Thou shall not kill", people who kill people are not in true God servants, and that's why, when I saw what's happening in the world today, I have some question about religion.

We are intelligent creatures, there are most chances we had been created by another intelligent lifeform. The creation is intelligent, and I dont think it had been made by "accident"

Again, only your opinion, and nothing but a guess.

Again, this is a great debate... the origins of the universe, maybe I'll post something about that later

Satyr :

Anyway, I wont convert you to the bible or another religion here. You are free to have your beliefs, it's your personal way of life and I dont want to be interfering in your beliefs. People who want to convert other by force are wrong people...

I appreciate that, and it's not my mission to convert anyone either. I debate this merely for the fact that it's necessary in order to study god or religion. I'd still love to see some examples of anything the bible holds that is more than just some twisted philosophy in which people want to believe. Some, who weren't raised going to church and/or having the bible explained to them, don't see it in the same context as you. A first time reader of the bible will usually come to a completely different conclusion than most people who are systematically taught to interpret it a certain way. No one teaches the bible. They teach how to interpret the bible. First they read a section, then they explain what they think it should mean to you.
