I would like to offer my sincere apology to everyone involved with ATS,the owners, supermods, mods and members for a stupid mistake i made the other night.Instead of trying harder to understand a thread that i read i injected a stupid one liner in the attempt at humor and truthfully didnt mean any offense and certainly not to ruin anyones thread.I think ATS is an awesome board with tons of intelligent conversation and debate and for me to dumb it up like that is unexcusable.Rightfully,i have been dually warned and appropriately fined but still find it necessary to let everyone know that it wont happen again...Sorry Everyone!!!

Don’t worry about it, you certainly weren't the first and you won’t be the last

At least you’ve realised an apologised

Good luck in the future

I missed the "heat", and therefore I see only the tone of your apology and not the background.

If only the world had more people who could look actively at themselves and their actions and offer up an apology for a misdeed as selflessly as all that.

I forgive your mistakes and what a nice person you are for apologizing.

Thank you for being so nice.

It's so tempting sometimes to shoot off a smart answer. I think we've all done it. I know I have.

Thanks for recognizing a mistake and making it right. That's cool.

Amen....

Not just here at ATS, but in day-to-day life as well - What a treat that would be...

"Oh my! I'm sorry...did I rear-end you? I'm the one at fault here - You were driving perfectly fine and I was tailgating you! Here's $1000 to get that fixed."

Honestly though jimstradamus - It happens to us all – One of my very first post here at ATS got me a warn and a thorn in my side....But after I spent some time on the boards, I began to learn how to appreciate others opinions without chewing their heads off....

Keep up the posting!

jimstradamus,

Not sure that I am familiar with the thread you are referring to, but I too commend your desire to stand up and hold yourself accountable for your actions, comments, etc.

As some have stated, we definitely need more people here, and in the world as a whole, who are willing to step up and accept responsibility for their actions, reactions, and comments.

As concerned members of society, we tend to let our individual thoughts, emotions, and personal views get the best of us.

Often times, with the best of intentions, we allow these tendencies to cloud our perception and restrict our views, when in fact these are the times we truly need to be able to step back and be the bigger person, make that conscious effort to try and see the situation from a different perspective.

Judge not, lest you be judged.

I am as guilty as the next, as we all are from time to time, yet we feel strongly and tend to react in the same manner. That is our nature.

We form our opinions based on beliefs, morals, and values instilled throughout generations. We outwardly desire alternative views yet, when confronted with such, we all too often resist or deny these views, as they conflict with our own.

We desire change yet resist it at the same time. We wish to see all yet want to define what all is.

Anyway, with that said, we are just carbon sacks of mostly water trying to find our way through this thing called life.

Best of luck to you Jim!

on another note:

dgtempe, always love your avatars :O)

I miss you Netty.

You always now how to bring a smile to ones face.

We have all made mistakes in varying forms.
We learn and move on to the next day, hoping to not make the same mistake again.
I am near sure that jimstradamus will do likewise.

Good thread! It takes a lot for someone to apologize for his/her wrongdoings and for that I commend you. Bravo!

Now if they see ALL would only apologize for his constant one liners that are cleverly disguised as three lines.
How many one liner warnings have you gotten they see ALL?

oh oh can we make a list of things we want other members to apologise for?

How about majik for excessive verbosity?

This is fun!

I apologize in Majic's stead, because he at least fills up the board with legible nonsense. My nonsense is much more layered and thickly varnished, shiny, but hard to peel up. See what I mean? I'm a tool. I'm sorry.

Oh, and Netchicken should apologize for making people close their eyes and type horrible things, and..letting people abuse the poor little shadow man. That was shameful.

Yeah, I seriously think you should start charging Majic and WyrdeOne for the extra bandwidth that they unnecessarily use up...either that or send them a dictionary which defines the word succinctness as "something you should consider".

(A good-natured poke in the ribs from one pleonastic poster to two others.)
