news.yahoo.com... Now this takes the cake A WEELCHAIR bound man doged (How does a man in a weelchair doge?) past securty in the air port with hidden grandes and held police at a stand off for hours from the plane.
This is defintly in the strange crimes catagory.

oh, I'm sure they can be as determined as anybody else, if not moreso, I didn't mean to imply otherwise---this is just the first time I've heard of one attempting a hijacking.

If nothing else, at least this has shown that you really can't exclude anyone from rigourous checks and it can be the people you least expect.

Since the motivation of the hijacker was not terrorism per se:

According to the government statement, the elder hijacker said he hijacked the plane to bring attention to a case in which he was partially paralyzed by a police bullet during a raid on his house some 14 years ago and had unsuccessfully sought government compensation.

A new home in "Global News Discussion" is warranted.
