There is no doubt that US did goto the moon.

Watching Discovery channel last night about the origins of the Earth and moon and on the show they interviewed scientists that always fire a laser to the moon and they see how long it takes to come back to measure the distance between moon and Earth. They said that they are able to do this because the Apollo Astronauts put a reflector on the moon so that this is possible. I guess this puts an end to those "we didn't goto the moon" theories.

Scientists who analyze data from the Lunar Laser Ranging Experiment have reported some watershed results from these long-term experiments, begun 25 years ago when the Apollo 11 astronauts deployed a reflector array in the Sea of Tranquillity. "Using the Lunar Laser Ranging Experiment, we have been able to improve, by orders of magnitude, measurements of the Moon's rotation," said Jet Propulsion Laboratory team investigator Dr. Jean Dickey. "We also have strong evidence that the Moon has a liquid core, and laser ranging has allowed us to determine with great accuracy the rate at which the Moon is gradually receding from the Earth."

You can read all the story on NASA

Well what if this is not true? maybe they just tell this like that to hide something.... ?

I find that the condpiracies and theories that we didnt go to the moon so bizzare its not even funny.

One of their points: The are no stars in the backround fo the video

My Answer: If we had never been to the moon we would not have know that stars wouldnt appear on camara with their settings so if it was indeed taped in a studio they would have put stars in.

Another Point: the flag was wavign in the "wind"

My Answer: It was known by NASA that there was no wind on thwe moon because it has no atmosphere, so if they faked it, it would have been hanged loosely and would have appeared to be stationary..

Cmon, give me a break...ya we did go to the moon...

(sorry got a lil off topic

I did once have some belief in the "moon conspiracy" after all the literature....now no more...

-maybe roswell didn't have anything to do with ufos at all...
-maybe there was no alien war in the dulce underground base
-maybe there was no philadelphia experiment

oh well...at least it's been entertaining fiction.

hotsheets,

Okay - no offense - the laser sighting reflector thing is the weakest piece of evidence that we landed on the moon that I have ever heard.

And it is almost always portrayed as one of the strongest pieces of evidence by debunkers!

Back during the initial moon "landings" we certainly had the technology to put that equipment there by remote control - I mean these days we drive our RC cars all over Mars whenever we want.

So how does that possible prove that we landed "men" there and not just equipment?

I personally do believe we went to the Moon - but most assuredly there is something weird going on regarding the Moon.

If they continue to restrict private travel to the Moon as it becomes quite economical, it should definately set off some alarm bells for those with understanding.

I know I trust NASA about as far as I can throw mission control.
