From what I have read, they had a very keen intrest and spent quite a few marks in leading expidetions to that region and no one really knows why. You do realize that much of that Antarctic/German Nazi mythology was invented by Nazi sympathizer Ernst Zundel, who used sales of his writings on Antarctic Nazi's and aliens to finance publication of his Jewish Conspiracy writings. He was eventually deported from Canada to face a trial on fourteen counts of inciting racial hatred.
