"Following an embarrassing leak of its proprietary software over a file transfer protocol site last January, the inner workings of Diebold Election
Systems have again been laid bare.
A hacker has come forward with evidence that he broke the security of a private Web server operated by the embattled e-vote vendor, and made off last
spring with Diebold's internal discussion-list archives, a software bug database and more software."

"September 4, 2003As millions of American voters prepare to use electronic voting machines for the first time, questions about who owns and controls
these vote-counting machines are rife.
In at least two states, companies with very close ties to the Bush administration are in prime positions to control the voting systems in the 2004
presidential elections. "
Some very scary things on the horizon people. While seeming to provide excellent ease-of-use and security... electronic voting machines would be
extremely easy to hack/spoof/alter.
These Diebold things were rigged already, so the motivation to hack must be more altruistic than the hacker-spammer transvestites that keep trying to
bust into ATS.
They should be dumped forthwith, and human beings ought to be able to train human beings in what a chad is and what to do with one.
That, or simply use the paper and pencil systems that still leave the paper trail and are easily machine counted and verified.
The US electoral system is clearly a steaming pile of bull# and an embarrassment to democracy.
Hah, agreed. There is some definite stench of bull# coming outta that few square miles that controls the country. The whole vote rigging thing is not
unexpected for me, as I'm sure G.W is one of the 'good old boys' and has backing from the Illuminati, MJ12, NWO, or whatever you prefer to
believe. He's just too #ing stoopid to to anything on his own, except maybe tie his shoes.
