Does anyone here know the BBE (Bijzondere Bijstand Eenheid) I'm not sure
how I can translate this proper from Dutch to English. These guys are known
all over the world for the famous train hostage situation they've solved about
20 years ago I think. The terrorist covered all windows of the train. Only a
couple of people died, they were all hostagetakers
and I believe only 2 hostages were lightly harmed during the saving. This
mission took over 2 weeks and they knew where to shoot because of
microphones they attached on the bottom of the train, the terrorist mainly
stood in places noone else stood. Taking them out without making innocent
casualties wasn't that much of a hard objective that way. I really have
mad respect for these guys that worked it out and saved all those people. My
goal is reaching the same thing, atleast join the BBE. For me, this is the main
reason joining the marines, of course helping innocent and weak people is another
high priority of mine. I hope some of you can tell some stories of your own country
about similar missions.

Today the Unit has more than 150 members, all selected from the Marines. It has a professional reputation because of the many conflicts the unit has resolved.
