Man, didn't you see South Park? Curse words aren't just words. They unleash the Deadly Curses that will bring about the end of the world! If we say them too often, then they release the demons, and we're all doomed!

Words have incredible power.

Just try getting out of an apartment lease by telling the judge the words on the page are just words.

Or get sloppy when your giving a statement to the police.

Words kill people every day.

And people kill over other people's words.

This will backfire and I am surprised the Local education authority or the Department of Education hasn't stepped in. especially with Tony Blair really pushing a "culture of respect" at the moment:

Respect for other people must be learnt within families first, said Tony Blair as he launched a new drive against bad parenting and anti-social behaviour.
In his first speech since his summer holiday, Mr Blair called for change in the UK's culture as well as new laws.

Mr Blair announced plans to extend the use of orders telling parents how to deal with their unruly children.

Now, it must also be noted a few things about Northampton:

1) A run down area of the country
2) The people there are not the brightest bunnies around
3) Swearing is a large part of the local lingo....trust me...they use it every other word...down to intelligence I think.

Before anyone berates me for generalising, my maternal family is from there, I have lived there for a (thankfully) short period and I have had to deal with NTL customers from Northampton, who have a strange inability to grasp not only the nuances of modern language, but of most things around them in general.

This will fall flat on it's face and the Head will get fired.

Also, for the poster who commented on the Education system being bereft of any money, in the UK, most schools are extremely well funded. There are some run down schools in run down towns, but that is not down to a lack of funding, more the type of people who live there and send there kids there. Like Northampton.
