I think I have to go for The white sox.

I don't really follow baseball much, only because Chicago has a team in the playoffs.

I am the same with basketball.

I glad the site is back up, I think all the threads, "Are we having trouble?" jinxed the sever.

OUCH BABE!!!!!!!!!

I've never heard a city go silent all at once! I have much respect for Pujols though. He could end up being the greatest hitter any of us will ever see.

Terence Mann: "Ray, people will come Ray. They'll come to Iowa for reasons they can't even fathom. They'll turn up your driveway not knowing for sure why they're doing it. They'll arrive at your door as innocent as children, longing for the past. Of course, we won't mind if you look around, you'll say. It's only $20 per person. They'll pass over the money without even thinking about it: for it is money they have and peace they lack. And they'll walk out to the bleachers; sit in shirtsleeves on a perfect afternoon. They'll find they have reserved seats somewhere along one of the baselines, where they sat when they were children and cheered their heroes. And they'll watch the game and it'll be as if they dipped themselves in magic waters. The memories will be so thick they'll have to brush them away from their faces. People will come Ray. The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... people will come Ray. People will most definitely come."

Beleeb it!!!!!

Peace

Ohhh so your baseball is the equivelent of our Aussie rules. The reason we watch it is because of history, tradition and the opportunity to see some poor bloke get taken to the ground like a sack of bricks.

No obiwan15, I would say our NFL is the equivalent of your Aussie rules football.
I'd love to see Michael Vick cut loose in an Aussie rules football game. No one would be able to touch him.

I am watching my best friend die in front of me.

It may sound silly but my Cat Cedric is dying, he is my best friend. I have had people in my life die and I have never felt the lose I am felling now. He has about three to four days left, his body has stopped excepting food. He can keep a little water down. I refuse to take him to the vet so he can die in fear. I want him here with me, Pain for Pain I guess.

Needed to vent.
