Exorcism and Emily Rose

I wasn't sure exactly what forum to post this topic in but i just, technically, exorcism is a type of treatment... I've seen all the movies and read briefly on Emily Rose... I was wondering if someone could fully explain "exorcism" and the story of Emily Rose. Thanks
