Classic Combat Vs. Terrorism

I sat here pondering, how would classic military formations stand up to guerilla terrorism. Sure, if discovered first, the terrorist would be riddled with 500 men firing muskets at the same time. On that thought what if a terrorist only had an open battlefield to fight in.

So I guess, pre-WWI armies vs. Modern day terrorists.

Any thoughts, any comparisions?

Hmm. AK-47 vs musket...

The terrorists have a serious technological advantage. Besides, marching in lines is basically asking to get shot. I vote terrorists on this one...
